It's nuts to have a car that can be mentioned in the same conversation as a 911 turbo. To say nothing of totally stomping it. For half the price. God Bless America.
(The 911 turbo S was my ultimate dream car, until I bought a Z06... Stunning to see some Porsche guys on here coming over to the Chevy camp. I still would love a Porsche, I think they are beautiful, but could never afford one. All except the 918 would be a step down now.)

I have a curiosity about the distribution of power to wheels over time in the AWD launch control cars as they run a 1/4 mile. How much power do the front wheels get at the start? How much are they getting at the finish? What does it look like in the middle? Has anyone seen a graph or article on it? Conventional wisdom is that rear traction is most important but I'm curious the details.

Nice review, thanks for posting. The Z06 is quite the deal.

Well money not a concern I can see where the Porsche comes out on top, I mean twice the money and lets be honest, its a beast. The story there to me is how far ahead the ZO6 is on the Nismo for 50 grand less. Article mentioned the ZO6 will be at the next lightning lap, that will be interesting to see.

For example, in the first motion from standing, is it 25% to each wheel? I suppose only the manufacturers know. I can't find it on Google.

The Porsche is down right stunning. It has 100 less hp and is WAY faster.
talk about excellence in engineering......wow. Gotta give credit to Porsche engineers on this. Their overall architecture really works.
I WANT ONE!

Yes, but GM USED to be able to build them just as good for half the money. Seems they are falling behind a little, IMHO.
That being said, I am willing to bet the next generation car is a big leap forward.

"The Turbo S is the best car here, but it costs as much as two Z06s. And it’s not twice as good."

Yep. Some of these people drink the kool aid straight out of the can/pack before it is mixed with water.
