I bought the skip shift over ride plug/resistor to install.
Looking up at the tranny there are two plugs that go into the side. One at the bottom and one near the top. They are about inline with each other give or take. Before I start cutting tie wraps, is the top connector the one I need to unplug and plug into?

I would say don't bother with that. I have only felt it interfere once or twice on my C6 z and maybe never on my C7Z, if you shift above 2500 or so it never comes on

Had one in my '03 Z....put one in my wife's '01vert .......it is just annoying when it comes on....yes you can shift at higher RPMs...but I don't drive like that all the time......
