Default Wicker gaskets

The little gaskets/grommet that are included with the wicker and are numbered..... How are you guys holding them to the wicker for install? I can't believe that I could not find a thread about this. I did read where a few members mention the use of super glue. I would like to install mine this weekend but don't really want to use super glue. lol

Nothing came with my clear wicker. I just removed 4 bolts from the existing Z07 spoiler and used them to attach the clear part.

I used a very small dab of clear silicon on the grommets just enough to hold it. Let it dry before attaching to car. Super glue does not sound like the best idea.

I used petroleum jelly. It'll hold them in place and washes off afterward.

I had to try like 4-5 times before they all stayed put for me to tighten down on it.

+1. Clear silicon worked for me too and it means that, if I ever remove the center wicker, the grommets will stay with it

I found that if I just start one screw at one side (without the gasket) there is enough flex in the wickerbill to gently pull away from the spoiler and slip in the gaskets from the bottom. Working towards the original screw just start each screw and move on to next. Lastly remove the first screw and slip in the gasket, adjust for desired height and hand tighten all screws. Worked for me. I found the only way I could thoroughly clean behind the wickerbill was to remove it.
