Default 2016?

Do we know when the 2016 models will start building? Also any idea when they will start showing up at dealerships? Does anyone know when they will start leasing the Z06? Thanks in advance for any info and if this info was already posted please direct me and mods please remove if needed.

My TPW is the latest for a 2015 that anyone has seen yet at 6/15. It would have to be not long after then.

It's usually late July early August.

Criswell echoes Jags dates:

Entering orders can be done now, without prices. However, the order won't go anywhere until there is the first consensus and the dealers are allocated their cars and constrained options. Having an order in the system now or after the first consensus won't make a difference since its up to your dealer when your order gets picked up after entry (status 1100) anyway. Your dealer decides where you are "in line" for his orders in the system no matter when entered. An order entry now gives you an order number and takes care of a clerical step, and you can get a GM Workbench printout of all your options to ensure accuracy. But you'd get that anyway if your order was entered after your dealer officially got his first allocation in the first consensus (if you were in that group).

Dave S. confirmed this morning that he is starting to put in the first 2016 orders as early as this week. (Into the GM order system.) Although pricing isn't being released until June, the first orders are accepted by GM before pricing is released, I guess in order to keep their system filled with orders, and so they can roll right into 2016 production.

And my Z06 order may be one of the orders put in this week! (Remembering back to the same feeling when I did this in 2013!)

(Thanks xp800 for posting similar info.)

There is a chance that some will be in the showrooms of larger dealers near Bowling Green before July 4th as they will have already built over 1500 2016's by then.
