Are related to overheating of the new s/c Z06, what a farce. I don't remember the ZR1 having these issues, of course with years of development and the cry of "best Corvette ever" why wouldn't the car have something so ridiculous as overheating?
I hear the thundering hooves of the crybaby fanboi brigade coming to tell you how jealous you are of the new car and how everyone overheating currently is "alleged" and just haters.
First, why do people insist on comparing the new Z06 to the previous ZR1? The ZR1 (with its gas guzzler tax) based at $106k. This car starts $26k cheaper. You could throw $20k at the new Z to keep it cool and still be ahead in terms of performance and miles ahead in terms of everything else.
Anyway, I’ve never had an overheating problem. . .yet. I’ll see when I get some heavy duty track time. Is it a downer? A little. But the car has a 5yr 100k warranty; it’s a GM. I’ve repeatedly flogged on all my vettes and they took it like a champ. Let’s look at the competition. . .
Viper - Exploding rear ends, insufficient brakes, etc. They’re having issues.
P-cars – You have to spend about twice as much to get the same performance.
F-Cars – Worse than the P-cars and good luck with your $15k AGIP rapings I mean services.
I spent $108k on my car which was nearly maxed on options. The same ZR1 would have been $130+k. For me, even if I have to throw $3k at it to keep the track temps down, I’m still having a blast and way ahead in smiles per dollar.
What I see is a constant crowd of people that either can’t afford and need to pose other reasons why they’re not getting it, or simply don’t like the car. I get it, it’s a taste thing and this car may not be everyone’s cup of tea. What I find in poor taste is the constant “I don’t like this car, and you shouldn’t either” crap. No-one is forcing you to buy the car. If throwing $1-3k at a car to keep it cool is ‘outrageous’ to you, then you obviously aren’t serious about tracking the car. Do you know how much it costs to actually run a car this fast at a track? Not even track fees, but brakes, rubber, gas, travel, etc. $3k is cheap in the grand scheme of things. I take the opinions of people like Lawdogg seriously as he’s truly running his car hard.
If I have an overheating problem, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. However, this constant sky-is-falling lets-rub-owners-nose-in-**** whining from people who don’t even own the car is getting old and tiresome. I don’t like the Hellcat. Cool car, but it doesn’t handle as well. I should go to the dodge forums and make thread after thread telling owners their idiots and fanboi’s for not chastising Dodge for making the car handle better.

What I find more disturbing are the circling vultures looking to find any negative thing to latch onto when it comes to this car.

The Clown Corps will be all out in this thread until it gets locked or deleted. I don't think of them as vultures...vultures have a purpose in nature. Our beloved CC does not.
The Clown Corps - "We like our cars to look like our shoes!"
While out and driving around yesterday, twice, women screamed at me and waved their arms. One group yelled "Oh my God! Here! Over here!". The second group yelled "Stop! Give us a ride! Love your car!" At a stoplight, one of them tried to stick her head inside the open passenger window.
Strangely, not once did any of them mention overheating.

Is the clown corps the same as the clown community?
Not sure how you define or differentiate the two but the Clown Corps seems to be rather unique to the C7 forums in general and the C7ZO6 forum in particular. They tend to self identify sort of like the OP. Hang around this thread a bit and they will all drop in to share their 'wisdom'. They can also be found in most banned and locked threads in large numbers.
I guess I erred by not including a trigger warning since they tend to be over sensitive. My bad.
Yep, joined for the sole purpose of bashing the new Z06. Pathetic lifestyle, no?
Says the person with an Elvis avatar.

Too bad, what you should be disturbed about is how much time and money GM invested in building the most capable Corvette ever and it can only go a few laps w/out losing power and running high temps.

You mean people buy the Z06 and don't track it? Sounds poser like to me.
To the rest of the dumb comments, have a nice night.
I didn't want to bring the thread back to the top, but since the OP did again........

The top 15 threads would be about different A8s running 10s and smoking Hellcats, Vipers and the like but haters keep running their hands (typing) and getting those threads locked

It isn't the "haters" that get threads closed FYI. Look at this thread, all the defenders come out swinging about a known problem that after years of development and technology shouldn't be there.
Heck if everyone in town was saying to try the new great eatery and some keep getting ill from going there don't you think there is a problem?
Mr Bell if you want to close it go ahead, too many can't face and discuss facts.
