Anyone have these on their Z? Are they worth the money or are the GM ones fine to use. Also is the a difference between the ones for the Z06 and the Stingray beside a hundred dollars?

I put OEM on my car, the difference in coverage versus the difference in price just did not make any sense to me.....

I have them on my car and they work much better than the OEM's, they stick out further. I would wait until they have their new spats intergrated ones available, it looks nice.

The GM OEM one's are useless; and the GM 'post' new car ones are just about as useless (had them on my new Z06 for some 30 miles before I replaced them). Neither extends out as wide as the tire......it is as simple as that......so the road debris still gets thrown against the car. Yes, the APSIS guards are expensive, but as far I know, they are the only guards out there that are as wide as our tires.

Think I heard of another brand, but they are just painted or coated with black coloring or something, so when they do get hit with rocks you see the white underneath the top layer showing thru......read this on the Forum some place......

Years ago when buying a C6 Z06 I saw the road debris damage done to the rear panel and vent area on the Z06's, and I became hesitant to get one. Then at a show one day a Z06 owner showed me his car and a few others with the APSIS guards---and no road damage. I got the Z06 and put the APSIS guards on and never had a problem. A few years later I traded the Z06 in for a 427 (same wide tire issue) and before I put 100 miles on the car I had the APSIS guards installed. Did the same thing with the new Z06, except I had the APSIS guards installed, along with the Xpel, at around 30 miles-----drove off the dealer's lot with painter's blue tape on until then.

Bottom line---yes they are expensive--very expensive---but I wouldn't drive a Z06 without them. My experience with them for at least 6 years now, on three cars, has been 100% positive.

I just had mine installed last Friday, so I don't have much road time with them yet. They seem to be doing a very good job at keeping the road grime and rocks off the side of the car. I went with them because if the increased coverage over OEM.
