Well I broke 200 miles today but still no change. I'll leave it on for a while, probably until the first service and then remove it. If I can't tell a difference by then I'm gonna leave it off until my warranty is up. Then put it back on with a tune.

Now, after 200 miles on the AFE intake, there is no traction at all below 60 mph. 1st and 2nd gear are now useless for full throttle application.

With that being said, will a mid-engine Vette really have more traction? Isn't the current C7Z already 50/50 weight balance?

I want to go all out with 1000hp+ but all that power seems like it would be useless under 100mph.
You just need to squeeze in the throttle instead of stabbing it. Roll on it over the course of 1 second and you can hook.

I can tell a definite increase in performance! Car is quicker, smoother and sounds much stouter.

Forgot to mention- supercharger whine is more pronounced. Especially before the exhaust baffles open... sounds cool!

Other than a dyno or some timed race track activity, not sure how to know what is real or not? I beleve the manufacturer said "200 miles" before "seeing" results, and mine has been on only a few miles. Will provide my subjective experience down the road. Best

Default Excellent Tech Support and Warranty

I bought a used AFE Intake from from Corvettes of Houston. First they sent the wrong unit (for a C7 Stingray) then I got the correct one, but after taking everything (for the 2nd time) apart found out they did not supply the two spacers needed to bolt the unit to inside of the fender. I ordered two spacers from AFE and attempted to install the air-box, but after numerous attempt to get both bolts to work, the 2nd bolt would not line up. I contacted Tyler at AFE and explained my issue and he kindly helped me file a warranty claim issue and AFE agreed to send me a replacement air-box. Apparently I was sold a used defective air-box with one bolt hole that was not exactly drilled in the correct location on the air-box. I have to say AFE Power stood behind their product, provide "over the top" tech support and actually replaced the defective air-box. I am looking forward to re-installing the CAI on my Z06 and I would highly recommend AFE Power products for your vehicle.
