Picked up my car Saturday it is a Z06 i've been told by a few fellas on the form that is supposed to have a front splitter standard somebody answer that question dealer is telling me it was not ordered or built that way

 

The base Z06 comes with a plastic front spoiler. They do not come installed. The dealer needs to install them during the PDI.

Are most dealers clueless or what?
It's amazing how little they know about the vehicles they sell.

 

Stage 1 aero, standard on Z06 comes with front splitter and smaller rear spoiler. What the heck is wrong with these dealers....

 

I had the same issue. Dealer told me I needed to pay for the splitter. I called Chevrolet and about an hour later the dealer called me and apologized for not knowing it came on the car and Chevy gave me a gift card for my troubles. I went back to the dealership Sunday to pick up the splitter (installed it myself) and guess what, all the Z06's on the lot now have the splitter installed as before none of them did....

 

They just don't have a clue! Man, I can't believe that we have to deal with this nonsense when ordering a car of this caliber.

 

I thought that the splitter shipped inside the car, so how could a dealer not know it was there? Maybe they were trying to sell them to make a little extra money.

 

Don't know where or how it's shipped. But this is day two and no word yet they got one more day and I call Chevy

 

I talked to my dealership a number of times where I purchased my 2015 Z06 and was told that the 2LZ does not come with a front splitter or a front lip spoiler but they said that they will get back to me. 3 weeks pass and not a word. Another 3 weeks pass and nothing. So I gave-up and called Chevrolet Customer Service and the rep says according to my vin number and the build sheet it does not come with either only comes with the center air dam that the dealer will install upon request. Only if it has the Z07 option that it comes with it. I explained to him that other Z06's atleast have the front spoiler
So I called the Corvette Museum and she put me on hold to make another call and she told me that the Z06 2LZ does not come with it. It is an option that you have to pay for, Good luck talking to Chevrolet Cust, Serv.

ALL Z06's come with at least the standard splitter. Level one is the standard package and includes:


"Z06 Aero Package – Level One
The standard Z06 features a front splitter, spats around the front wheel openings, a unique carbon-fiber hood with a larger vent, and a rear spoiler"


If you want to upgrade, you can go with either:


Z06 Carbon-Fiber Aero Package – Level Two
An available Carbon-Fiber Aero Package (in either black or a visible carbon-fiber finish) adds a carbon-fiber front splitter with aviation-style end plates, carbon-fiber rocker panels, and a larger rear spoiler with a fixed wickerbill – a small, vertical tab at the edge of the spoiler


or


Z07 Performance Package – Level Three
The available Z07 Package includes the carbon-fiber rocker panels from level two Carbon-Fiber Aero package, adds even larger end plates to the front splitter, as well as with an adjustable, transparent wickerbill on the rear spoiler for track use.


If you purchased a Z06 don't let any dealer tell you that the car does not come with a front splitter as they are "standard" on all Z06 cars. Many dealerships are still trying to figure this car out as the model is new and many that are not accustomed to selling many of them are not fully aware of what should be on them. If you look on the window sticker under "standard equipment" you will see a front splitter listed under exterior equipment. The dealership should make it right; however, if they drag their feet, a quick call from corporate gets the ball moving real fast.


EDIT: The interior trim packages (1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ) have nothing to do with the downforce packages that come on the car. Ridiculous to spend 100k on a car and still need to argue with a dealer over a 100 dollar splitter

 

You are absolutely right it does say it on my maroni sticker right under the rear spoiler that it supposed to have the front spliter. Looks like I go back to the dealership AGAIN for the 3rd time just to get the run a round AGAIN and then talk to Chevrolet Customer Service AGAIN and argue with them AGAIN.
You would think that the most expensive vehicle Chevrolet has on their dealer lots that they would get their act together !!

 

Well after a few phone calls and a few emails and few picturse sent to the dealer they finally agreed to get my splitter and it will be shipped to me directly. But they sure are worried about their dealer survey that I'm supposed to fill out here in the next couple days I guess that's the final straw

 

I figured you would get it eventually. I have not filled my survey out yet but I may do it tomorrow. The splitter was only one of my issues....

 

Amazing indeed and yet so disheartening at the same time. Granted not all dealers are bad but lots are, which is why all have the bad reputation.

 

Called GM Owner Asst. for the second time and again explained to the rep that my 2015 Z06 was sold to me with the splitter missing. So he assigned me a case number and assured me that he would look into it.
That was 3 days ago. This morning a senior rep from GM called me and told me that the splitter was going to be shipped to my local dealer and that they will install it. Also to call them back (GM) if I do not get a response from my dealer in a week !! Yeah ! Right !
