C7 Z06 A8 VS. Supercharged C6 Z06

I am pretty sure there is a video or two floating around here that says you are wrong. If the C7Z owners stop crying everytime a video is posted of one losing, they would still be in this section.

Hey Gang,
The intent of this video was to show you modifications that can be done to a C6Z that can be favorable to a stock C7Z. Please note that the C6Z has Nitto NT05R tires, however it still has a major traction problem and would've been too difficult to compare if started from a dead stop. Therefore this test was performed at a roll to eliminate the driver launch factor.
The C6Z is lighter & higher horsepower. However the A8 C7Z offers better transmission gearing and quicker shifting capabilities allowing it to keep up with the C6Z for a period of time.
On another note, the C6Z has an Edelbrock supercharger with stock pulley. Yes, and can be upgraded to a smaller pulley for more boost, but the car was built to be reliable and fuel economical. There could've been many things done to make each car faster. The stock C6Z has very weak axles and known issues with the cylinder heads. The block has relatively thin walls. There should be some engine & drive train upgrades before anything else should be upgraded on the C6Z.

What ever happened to the Corvette Brotherhood?
I left the forum for a few weeks; comeback and still see the same 'ol crap: C6Z vs C7Z battles...why???
If a C7Z lose a race and it is called out, those who call it out are labeled haters. If the C7Z wins a race then called out, those who call it are labeled fanboys. WTH bro? Both cars are amazing in their own right
Thanks,
Carlos

Just imagine what a C7 Z06 would do with a couple BASIC MODS.... Miss the C6 Z06 and ZR1 I owned but the new A8 C7 is such a good all around car. What a job GM did on interior and electronics. Still learning all the settings.

Also note that both cars were owned by the same person, so nobody should really cry over this!

I was just riding with heavy hits from 20-30 mph to 120 mph in my friends C6Z06. Put wheel spin aside ... I do have to admit .. The old Z's are really strong. I know fast and quick cars on the track and street but after tonight.... I'm hoping the new Z will inevitably SQUASH the old. Way too too much drama on the subject. The "old" NA Z is a strong runner for sure. On the street stock it will kill my old 590wrhp Z. Of course spinning is not winning but it is what it is

Where the heck is the race between a stock ZR1 and a stock C7 Z06...I find it amazing that hasn't happened yet..this one car stock and the other modified is useless.
