Question - I hit a pothole and now there Is a metal clicking noise coming from the right rear suspension. I thought maybe I cracked a wheel, but it's not that. Anyways I took to my local dealership and was told whatever it is, it's not covered under warranty. I don't know much about what is and is not covered, but I drive this hwy everyday in my other car and go over the potholes just fine without breaking anything. How can this not be covered under warranty? Thoughts please.
Most insurance companies will handle this under a collision claim (depending on cost) but you need to determine what a collision claim may do to your premiums. May not be an issue; however, it might make your insurance increase depending on past history with insurance issues/claims.....
Just curious,...you told them you hit a pothole?.,,,how do you know if the pothole you hit had anything to do with the noise you now hear?,..the noise could have been there all along but you just did not pay attention.

Yes. I told them I think the pothole did this. But I wasn't sure.
I'm cautious about making any claims with my insurance and save them for the damages I can't afford to pay out of pocket. Id find out what the problem is and get an estimate for repairs before contacting the insurance co.

You damaged it. $tuff happens. Chevy can't be responsible for road conditions. My 800 mile car has rock chips. The car I traded in had 9,000 miles and was perfect. There is no way on gods green earth I would expect GM to warranty that. If you look at your manual you'll see they don't even want you to go through a car wash. It is a special car and has some special considerations you need to make in driving it.Super soft tires, stiff suspension, lower ride, big diameter wheels with little sidewall to absorb potholes and bumps. Hopefully it isn't to costly a repair. If it is----well that what insurance is for. Good luck.
Sorry, but you asked for our thoughts.
