A member C7x2 came over and I checked his Sweet ride out.
He is waiting to pick up his Z soon.
He let me sample his MGW. My order is in. This should help quicken the M7. Not only quicker but smoother.
Holy cow they are built like a tank and a very short throw.
Love the Z06. Even bumper to bumper in traffic in 95 degree heat is no issue.
I've had the boot off 3 times. Installing the first time sucked. The second time was pretty easy. The third time took less than a minute to get it fitted around the mgw boot.
Spray that rubber boot with armour all before installing and it helps immensely. George from MGW actually told me that and it really helps a lot.
I found out on the second or third time I put it on that if you stretch it really far on the drivers side and get it all the way down and then continue to stretch it as you go around that it will go on easy. I also used a plastic trim tool to help stretch it down on the passenger side.
Do you want a photo of the finished install? You honestly can't tell any difference in now and before it was installed. When it's all put back together it looks stock.
If you stretch the boot as much as possible it slips down on the drivers side easily. Once I found that out I stretched it all the way around. When I got to the passenger side I pushed it down with a plastic trim tool. I was afraid lubricant would cause it to slip off later.

.....unless you go with the flat stick and round ball option - like me. Check out MGW's website.
