So I hand washed and hand dryed my ZO6 yesterday. When I was down on all fours I looked thru the honey combs in the front grille and noticed a couple of big corn boers (yes its Nebraska) caught in the radiator. Do you guys just go down to the local car wash and stick the old wand in there and blow them out or do you have a super long tweezers??? No Iam not trying to be funny but those of us that live in the midwest do have to deal with alot of crap that some of you don't have to deal with. By the way I popped the hood thinking I could maybe get to the radiator that way but no luck. Not accesable.
The Stingrays have a removable grille panel for a tow hook that gives a little more access to clean the grille, but not sure the Z06 grille has that.
I use a bottle brush on a metal handle to reach through the grille and carefully brush the coil to break loose some of the debris. I found a couple of big ole locus carcasses rattling around in my air inlet chamber.
Once you get them out and cleaned up, I'd highly recommend a Novistretch Mask to keep them out in the first place, during "bug season". Amazing product.
