Default Noise level inside C7

I have 2010 Z06 and find the noise inside the car pretty bad. I am talking about road noise.
Are the C7s ay better on this issue?

thanks

Not at all. I find mine to be just a hair louder than my old 2014 Stingray. Until I step into the gas, and then it's a lot louder.

The C7 Z is quieter on the road than the C6 variant. Some of that may be due to the tires. The Michelins are quieter - and have superior performance - than the Goodyears on the previous model.

When I first got my Z06, I thought it was fairly subdued unless your really getting on it.

Now that I have about three thousand miles, I think I would like it too be just a bit louder.

Now is also my chance to say- I lied- Originally I was going to drive the car very little on the street, and said so. Now.....it's more like I have too fight the urge to go for a spin. I even get groceries with it! Crazy!

C7 Z06 convertible should be MUCH quieter than your C6 Z06. The convertible folds into some type of case-container in the trunk, which acts like a sound barrier. At least this was my experience with the 2013 427 convertible compared to my 2008 Z06. For the C7 coupe Z06 I had a sound barrier insulation kit installed, and now it sounds like my 427 did.

I just did a trip this weekend and the road noise is way too loud. I don't mind exhaust noise at all. It has to be the tires. I might try to do some sound deadening.

As mentioned there are plenty of people complaining about road/tire noise especially in certain states. You will also find a ton of positive threads on the Blockit. The fastest effective way to reduce interior noise. Just "drop it in"
It lies right over your existing carpet.

* Reduce Interior Noise In Seconds
* Takes The Edge Off Tire/Road Noise & Some Aftermarket Exhausts.
* No Ripping Up Your Carpet/Interior
* Pre - Cut & Lays Right Over Your Factory Carpet. Fits your Stingray or Z06
* The Blockit is a 3 Piece System - (1 piece for behind each seat. 1 large piece for the cargo area/trunk for the convertible).
* The Blockit uses 4 layers of REAL acoustical material. (This is NOT a simple foam layer with foil!)
* The top black vinyl layer is UV protected. Looks great & its durable so you can still use your cargo & truck area.
* The C7 Blockit has custom "cut outs" for the coupes cargo hooks!
* All materials are from the USA. Not overseas. (this is important)
* All materials meet and or exceed the Auto industries standards! (also important)
* The product is made in the USA (more important)
* Manufactured under ISO 9001-2008 standards!
* The Blockit also acts as a heat barrier. It helps prevent some heat that comes up through the cargo area.
