Default Performance data recorder question

I am going to order a 2016 Z06 with the 2 LZ package. I will also order the IO6 Audio system with Navigation @ no charge with the 2LZ package. My question is am I also required to order UQT Performance data recorder @ $1,795. I do not want the PDR if it is possible.
Thanks

The reason is it's no charge is because it is packaged together with the PDR option... you cannot order a standalone Nav.

PDR+Nav comes together as an extra-cost option on your 2LZ.

If you order the upgraded stereo with Nav, the PDR comes with.

Here's a video shot with my PDR to give you an idea of how cool the feature is.

The PDR with Lawdogg's runs at Road Atlanta is why I bought the car...it is all his fault!

I understand not wanting the PDR (and paying extra for it) if you have no intentions of tracking the car.

You can order the car with the I05 stereo - no nav or PDR.

Then you can update the system yourself with an HMI module for a I06 system and you will have the nav without the PDR.

i agree, get the PDR. I did not and am sorry. In fact, I would pay twice the price to get one now but cannot. You will be happy to have the PDR. I guarantee it!

For $200 or so look at the blackvue camera system. Front and rear cameras with motion detection if someone messes with your car.

Default PDR for Autocross Use Question

*Has anyone ever got the GPS course mapping to work for autocross?

I used the PDR for autocross today for the first time. It is a secret weapon I should of had a long time ago. My standard Stingray came with the PDR.

It was great to be able to do Post Run Analysis in the grid after each run. It helped be set the car's tech up better and get smoother over the course's challenges.

I believe the problem is that the track end and stop need to be at the same GPS location for the PDR to generate course map in the video. I tried using the exact grid location where I park after each run with no luck.

I love the peace of mind whenever I'm valeting the car. I also use it whenever I'm just out for drive and some of the close by drivers start acting like jerks. It never hurts to have proof to back up "It wasn't me".

If I want to have fun with the car, I'll take it to the track.

In short, well worth the $1800.
