I am looking at a used Laguna Blue Z06 Convertible (1600) miles and the rear fascia is black instead of blue. Is this an option or did the original owner just paint the rear fascia black? I believe it was a museum delivery car so the original owners nameplate is on the dash. Is there anyway to remove that without defacing the dash?
If your talking about the rear "diffuser" area, that portion that has the horizontal reflectors at the top and drops down to the exhaust opening surround, they are all black (actually Carbon Flash) from the factory. If you have a car (this is a bitch without pictures) that the black extends up to the base of the spoiler and out to the edges past the tail lamps, it was custom painted or wrapped.
Is this the car you're talking about? If it looks like that, it is definitely NOT stock. He had the rear wrapped or painted black.
I think it looks like shiitake.
That might be the car he's looking at!
OP: I'm sure it can be removed easily since it's a wrap. If you feel the price is good, go for it. As for the plaque, I would try floss or something similar to remove it and contact Chevy about getting a new regular plaque.
That is not stock I'm not sure if it's painted or a wrap but not from the factory, it should be blue. The nameplate should just pop out and you can replace it.

Confirmed it is a wrap. I am glad to know the nameplate just pops off
I had to wait for my 15 A8 with the 100,000 mile warranty which nobody knew was going to be reduced to 60,000 in 16. I see a lot of guys on here "dumping" their slower M7's now that the A8 has been kicking a$$ all over the place! and the M7's not so much. Hell I have even read stories of M7s getting their a$$ kicked regularly, the A8 not so much. All of you guys that just could not wait and jumped on the M7 order wagon should of waited, I took my chances (because I knew the A8 was going to be faster) of not getting an A8 due to the high demand for the Z06 and my prayer was answered.
If possible, I believe in getting what you want the first time and not having to redo it a second time.

You are so wrong on the M7 it is not getting its *** kicked but everyone entitled to their opinion. I personally would never own a auto sports car just not near as fun to drive. Hope all the auto people like theirs just makes me like my M7 even more

And there are some who want to be 1/2sec quicker than the m7.....do u have any idea how bad of an *** whipping a 1/2sec is on cars that trap 130's? It's embarrassing, and I LIKE to shift. But the future of all out performance is auto, I learned early on the autos where quicker once u reach a certain power level. It was I who first used c5 half shafts on the c6z, that was converted to auto in the first year of ownership. People told me I was stupid, until they saw the e/t slips
OP asked a question about the wrap and the plaque and you guys started a "which transmission is better" pissing match. Who cares which transmission is better, honestly? The manual vs auto arguments are actually pretty stupid when you think about it. Why not enjoy your car instead of calling saying "Oh the manual is slow and it sucks"?
Take them on the track and see just how much faster the A8 is over the M7 I think you might be in for a shock. The future of sports cars is not a given that they will be automatic. I have had both and much prefer driving the M7 and didn't pay and extra $6k for the transmission upgrade and gas guzzler tax
