Default HUD display question

I have a 2016 ZO6, 3LZ which has a hud display. One of the modes on the display is for mph only.....however, when you are on a road that the gps recognizes that has a posted speed limit, that speed limit displays in the lower left corner of the hud window. It only happens in this one display mode and is a little distracting.

Trying to figure how to delete the posted speed display but haven't been successful....can't locate it in the manual so thought I'd post the question on this forum.

I had a 2008 ZO6, with a hud, and it didn't happen in that car.....

Any ideas?

Your 2008 didn't have the capability to display a posted speed limit. However, newer model NAV units display the posted speed and I don't see why it wouldn't get sent to the HUD where the display actually is visible while you are driving.

In answer to the first question, yes...the nav system was on but not set to locate anything specific or provide directions.

It really isn't a big deal but just a distraction that I was hoping could be turned off....guess I'll just have to set the hud to another display.

I will have to check mine.

Does it change color, flash, or set off some sort of warning signal if the speed limit is exceeded?

It is just a static display of the number of the posted speed limit on the road you are traveling on....I know there is a speed limit warning setting in the nav system but this isn't it. Kind of a mystery....

I never noticed in the HUD, but it is on the display in the speedometer area. My navigation is not turned on to anything......I will have to look on the HUD.

Contact On-Star service tech and ask if MPH is part of their GPS system.

I also have a 2016 and love that speed posting feature. However I also wish the HUD would allow for more configurable options.

The HUD is less useful than it was in the C6. No gauges allowed, etc.

Anyhow, I'm pretty sure this doesn't work in the 2015, or if it does there are times I'd like to enable it, so if anyone knows how to turn it off/on (presuming you can), I'd like to know how!

Ever wonder why max G used to be 1.27? Could it be the range -127 - +127, as in a single byte in BCD? That's my guess.
