I just installed my new Gen 2 Halltech CAI and I have a quick question. I know that some of you were having the issue with the MAF not resetting and it throwing a "reduced power" light on the dash. I just had that happen and I followed Jim's instructions to check the connection, shut the hood and restart. That worked but now my "check engine light/icon" stays on. Has anyone else run into this? What should I do?
do you have any way to check the code. there are a lot of code readers out there that will work over bluetooth and you can clear the codes. you could also pm Jim at Halltech. The tool I use is OBDLink MX Bluetooth Scan Tool. It seems to work well and it will clear codes for you, if you have a problem they will re-appear. It helps to pull the code and then look it up so you know where to look for the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I just tried disconnecting the battery and that worked. Suppose I probably should've disconnected that from the beginning. Oh well. Good to go. Heading to the drag strip on Friday night. Anxious to see the difference!
Let me know how it works. I have mine and the nomex sleeve is coming in but I haven't had a chance to install it yet.
Will do. I installed the Nomex sleeve as well. Figured it couldn't hurt. Not really expecting it to do very much. I lined the inside (engine side) of the intake box with reflective DEI "cool" tape as well.
The fix: Disconnect the battery negative before you start, reconnect when done.
The sensors are active even when the ignition is off, which creates the REP. Simple fix, is to shut off the ignition, open and close the hood, and it will be gone.
