Mine has the worst throttle lag of any car I've driven, both ways (on-throttle and off). It's extremely noticeable to me and although I'm used to it by now and drive around it, it still bothers me even after 5000 miles of driving. If I could make only one tuning change to my car, I would start with the throttle response.
Are there driving modes that correct this? Judging on my ex Porsche and current F-Type, when you go into sport mode, throttle response changes dramatically to "instant" Dies the Vette change from mode to mode?
When I test drove the C7 Z06 it had too many modes, not to mention ECO mode.
All of the electronic nannys are what ultimately kept me from buying it. Until GM is able to solidify some sort of successful tuning software upgrade, I'm on the sidelines.
Looks and sounds great, though.

Could it be just the rate of opening? I remember one of the tricky aspects of learning the C5 Z06 was having to be really careful with throttle application past the apex. With 650 # of torque I would think you would definitely want to slow it down from that.
Vmax ported tb. It will fix the issue and worth 7 to q0nrwhp. NO TUNE NEEDED. I've installed 7 units so far on z06s including mine. Lag gone
This person can't do that. Car has to stay stock. I do remember Pobst discussing this on another car in a magazine test and he liked it with the slower opening. It allows you better control so it's not really a problem if I am understanding this correctly, but I haven't driven it yet so I am not the expert.

Agree. The C7, in general, is overly complicated with electronics. The more crap GM throws at these cars, the more gremlins they have and the more stuff there is to break down later. These cars will be a nightmare to own after the warranty expires. The cynic in me thinks a lot of this is done on purpose by GM. They love people who throw away a car after 2-3 years and buy a new one.
