If you had to do it over again, would you buy a Hellcat?

Two both wonderful cars but like many mentioned on here two totally different cars and shouldn't be compared...However Kudos to Chrysler for coming up with such car in this era of the new Muscle car wars...GT500..Camaro..Challenger...Charg er.

Hellno
I was in the market for a Dodge Hellcat and for an MSRP of only $62,000 I would have gladly bought one here in California.
The problem was I couldn't find one in the state without a $9,000 - $20,000 dealer markup.
As a result I purchased a White Z06 for 83K with only one option, the A8 Transmission and to be honest I couldn't be happier as I drive it once in a while on some weekends and when I do it's glorious but every now and then I think to myself for 20k less I probably would have been just as happy with the Cat if I could have found one at MSRP.
What do you guys think?

I would absolutely buy my Hellcat again...no question about it. Love it and enjoy it greatly.
Then again... I also have a Z06 on order due around November

No
I would not buy hellcat instead of vette or my GTR, but if I could have another car, in addition to those I have now, I would love to own one.
I think it would be fun car to have, daily drive, but it can not substitute vette or GTR performance which is what I care about.
Two different beast with different purposes but if HC can be bought at 60k, it is a great price for what it is.

I might do a Hellcat Charger, but as others have said, I wouldn't replace my Z06 for it. Though tbh I might instead give the nod to the new CTS-V. The Hellcats (both of them) simply do not have enough tire.

I Love my hellcat and my Viper. I sold my 14 stingray and 15 Z06...after overheating problems. One is a great track car the other is a great straight line rocket! Neither one let me down like the z06 limp mode overheating...

I got 2 Hellcat orders picked up for build. One was in Idaho and the other in Arkansas. I went with Idaho at 900 miles away. It really wasn't terribly difficult. If you live in CA and don't know somebody who can hook you up with an MSRP instate, just look elsewhere.
I just don't understand anyone who will pay an extra $20k or more in CA or any state where ADM's dominate when it's so relatively easy to purchase elsewhere.
Personally, over the years I've gotten used to riding low and just not too long ago got to where I really don't like that tipping sensation around turns that I used to get in my '13 GT500 and the '15 'cat. Nor does any Challenger, Camaro or Mustang appeal to me anymore. When I get out of a Vette and walk up to one, they look huge by comparison. I'd go with a Viper or a Vette not just for performance, but because I feel more closely connected to the pavement in one.
I didn't have the extra $20k to get the Z06 I wanted at the time, but I plan to get one some time in the future...probably out of state. I've already sold the Hellcat and am now saving for the Z.

Really? Couldn't you say the same thing about the Stingray and Z06? Some people.

I currently am fortunate enough to have both cars. I would say the hellcat is a great daily car that is comfortable, fast and can haul my kids around. I am also a big guy so the hellcat is much more comfortable. But I am always more excited to drive the Z06. They're both manual but the active rev on the Z06 is awesome...so I think you made the right decision

I waited 10 months for my Hellcat order to go thru. SoCal at MSRP, but do to constraints, first on the black hood then Redline paint, finally an A8 trans. I cancelled the order and bought a 2016 base C7 convertible , A8 and very happy i did. 1100 lbs lighter and a true sportscar, not a monster engined rent a car. I use it as a DD and almost daily have people admiring it, thumbs up, etc. As long as the top is down get ready for some kind of response. Truly amazing. Yes the Hellcat would have been more comfortable and faster in a straight line, if you could hook it up, but the the Vettes performance is to me, way overkill for the street. Nevermind the Z06!

I've been a GM guy all my life, with the exception of the Dodge 4X4 I own. When I was looking to get into another car I looked @ the 15 Z06, but couldn't justify the cost and the Hellcat was reasonable $66,000. So..... I ordered the Hellcat but after 4 months I rethought my purchase and couldn't justify owning a car with all the problems and the poor quality of the Hellcat, I could be another broke down statistic along the side of the road with the Hellcat
I made the right choice, ordered a 15 Z06 and it was easy to justify spending another $33,000 on a car that was quality built, made in the USA by an American company with American Labor. Every time I slip into the Z06 I know deep down inside I made the right choice.

No HC for me.
I loved the looks of the Z. The hellcats success is only due to the giant power shoved into it. INO without the motor, it's a nice plane box on wheels.
Z for me
