Default Shift linkage adjustment ???

Does anybody know if their is any kind of linkage adjustment back at the transmission itself or is it all up front on the shifter. I put in the new MGW shifter, didn't help on making the shift from 1st to 2nd any smoother, and I know it is installed correct with the proper throw in all directions

All of the adjustment is at the shifter. What kind of problem are you having? How many miles on the car? Thanks

Shifting into 2nd and 3rd is hard especially when the car is cold, it almost feels like it hops a little bit when shifting and its kind of clanky in sound. I do live in CT and it is getting colder out. seems to get a little better on a long ride. What does yours feel like?

The MGW definnatly is a much more solid shift I don't hear or feel much rattle. but when I depress and release the clutch I hear a little noise

I have a little over 3000 miles on mine and it's getting better. The MGW is notchier than the original shifter but it's also a much shorter throw and it's more precise. I drove it a few hundred miles over the weekend and like yours it gets better after it warms up. I'm hoping it gets better as it breaks in. I do like the MGW better than the stock shifter but occasionally 2nd to 3rd is strange and sometimes 4th to 5th and 6th to 7th. . It's especially noticeable with rev matching on.I typically don't have the 2nd to 3rd problem. The first 4 gears seem pretty good other than the occasional 2nd to 3rd but that's rare and is probably me.
