"Ask Tadge" Producer
We have a lot of self-proclaimed know-it-alls here on CF; it's not worth the time to argue with them.
Here's a fun bit: Tadge and Harlan were there on their own, personal time. It wasn't a GM event. And they were there to raise money for the United Way. Close to $9K was raised.
But that's probably not important, right?

IF I had the time I would fly in myself and ask at least the overheating question. It could be put more constructively but forcefully. Yes, we can ask about the overheating problem and what are you guys going to do to fix it, but it may have more impact to ask if there are any plans for GMPP to provide an upgrade for the track. Since so many people don't track the car, and or are not having problems with this they don't need any upgrade. It saves GM money and brain damage to retro fit ALL 10,000? cars and the guys who want it or need it pay. Just an .02 Getting aggressive with them will just lead to defensiveness on their part and we get nowhere. Putting it another way, might allow for some dialogue and maybe a GM backed solution.

You think Tadge hasn't answered the heating question everywhere he goes. You're not going to get any more out of him than you've gotten via this forum "ask tadge", and via various bash's and what not.
They've found some coolant systems weren't bled properly. The car is designed for 86F sustained use, but there are variables, etc. It is what it is.

Yea at least they man up and show at these events.
Even when they have difficult questions to answer for mistakes made.
At least they have the fortitude to look you in the eye and answer for their actions.
Not sure the other manufactures do it as much or at all and if they do I certainly don't know their names by heart.
Give the guys a break, lest they close ranks, limit access and tell us to FO.
I for one appreciate what they do and whether I agree with what they say or not I am glad to hear it.
