Anyone else getting P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Bank 1? Hugely reduced power, but no CEL
This is the second time this has happened. Car suddenly feels VERY flat and is down several hundred horsepower under acceleration, will not even accelerate if floored in higher gears. Sounds and feels like it is missing a cylinder or 3! I cleared the ECU last time and it went away, but now it has returned. The code scanner shows NO DIC, but when I go under advanced scans I see this P0325 in the history. It is very strange as it only seems to affect the way the car runs when accelerating.

A few minutes under the car and I found the likely culprit: there is a wiring connector sitting directly on top of the driver's side catalytic converter and melting... it goes to the front Oxygen sensor. Is the knock sensor also in this wiring? Does anyone know where it attaches? Obviously I will zip tie it up out of the way to drive to the dealer...
wiring sitting above driver's side cat and melting
where should this attach?
Also this piece seems to be leaking... is it power steering related?
What is this part that is leaking?

I don't remember the code number but it was knock sensor performance and the symptoms sound similar. I had an exhaust leak that melted the connector to the knock sensor. It literally had plastic dripping down like a candle. It would be good to take it to the dealer so at least GM can determine if this is a recurring problem.

Knock sensors are on the side of the block.
