Its a roll back trailer. The whole trailer is the ramp. Just like a roll back wrecker except much less incline.
Thanks!!! Who did you buy from?? Kwikload direct??
Thanks JC... Looking at trailers right now
Why didn't you go enclosed??

I bought from KwikLoad direct. It was a custom build to get the options I wanted.

I did not go enclosed as a lightweight enclosed trailer with doors in the right places on the side so I can open the doors and get out and access the wheels for tie down was close to $22k. The trailer was purchased to haul a Ford GT which requires wheel baskets for tie down. It works great for the Vette and our two Spyders as well. This one was about $6500 in 2012.

Peter Brock of early Corvette Stingray fame is manufacturing a light weight, very aerodynamic trailers in Las Vegas. He test fit my Z06 into it. It is a very high quality and $$ trailer.

Good Morning, most of the threads I have been reading are 3-4 years old. I am looking for an enclosed trailer for my ZO6. Anyone out there selling one and what are the pro's and cons of the enclosed VS the open trailers. Hope you don't mind adding to this thread.

Thanks

What we need is a thread on tying the car down. Those straps through the tire make me cringe. I would be worried it would pull the alignment out.

I use wheel baskets. The straps go over the tire, not through the wheel. This is the factory prescribed tie down method for the FGT and how they are tied down for dealer transport.

it works very well on the Vette and other high end cars as well. It also leaves the suspension and transmission unloaded during transport.

I gave up on that. Using any raised apex knocks the alignment out of place every time for me. I get it alligned after every event

I have transported several different Vettes for years with straps thru the wheels and never had an alignment issue.
