Default AFE intake Problem and no help from them

The intake when on hits the top of hood, Since then it has been removed and luckily the damage it did to hood I was able to correct. I see there is a newer redesigned style? I'm guessing corrects this problem? The reason I'm asking on the forum is because I am NOT getting my emails/calls returned on correcting this deffective part. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I will give it a little more time before making the next step.

I had a hell of a time with fitment, being one of the first to get the AFE. Running the hose above the intake caused rubbing. I imagine many just install, slam their hood, and assume all is good. Not sure if they redesigned it or not, since I returned mine for a full refund. I also noticed no gain in performance, and even could hear audible knock in 8th on the freeway. Didn't notice once I switched back to stock. Halltech on it now with no issues.

Yep a piece of hose for coolant is now included, same as Halltech. They both had the same issue. It is better to install it even if some people were able to run the original ones according to some posts on this forum.

A picture would help and make sure any hoses from the drysump or radiator don't sit on top of intake box but along side it .Otherwise you will have issues closing the hood.

I ran the hoses underneath the intake for a cleaner look! Good thing as it would rub even more woth hose above intake
