Default Looking to have my car wrapped with paint protection....Questions

Anyone know of a good place between Naples and Sarasota to have my car wrapped with some type of protection? Also what product is recommended? Thanks in advance.

Xpel, Suntek and 3M are all top quality and you could debate which one is better all day. Id look for those brands and find the cheapest installer personally. You will probably get quotes from $3500 to $6500 for wrapping the whole car.

I suggest you get an expert installer. May not be the cheapest. Try to look at work the installer has completed on other cars.

Use a reputable installer that backs up his work. As for the film, I've got XPEL on two of my cars at present. Very satisfied with it.

Find the best installer. All of the top brands are good. I used xpel ultimate but I picked my installer based on his previous work. He also installs suntek and he said that looked great too.

My C7 Z06 is totally wrapped with Xpel.

Absolutely no question, the path to success is the INSTALLER! Also give serious consideration as to what prep will/will not be done to the paint before the film is applied.

Ryan Burroughs of Auto Paint Guard in Tampa comes highly recommended by many local Corvette owners in multiple clubs. It's 55 miles north of Sarasota but well worth it. Depending on when you schedule, perhaps make it a mini-vacation at Clearwater beach.

He may not know what he is looking for, but if there are flaws, he will see those.

Installer is key, I went to a Good installer that rushed my job, had to go to another place to get the whole job redone.

I've only ever wrapped one car and it was with Xpel. Go to their website and find a recommended installer in your area. I'd find installers in the area then look for local reviews.

We have Xpel Ultimate on our car and love it. You'll be able to see it because you'll know it's there but most folks won't be able to see it at first glance. They'll have to look for it to see it. 10 year warranty on the product as well.

XPel Ultimate and just did two coats of CQuartz finest before I put her away. I can speak first hand to the value of xPel if you drive the car. We completed 14k miles driving across the US and Canada in 4 months before putting her away. At one point, an 18 wheeler kicked up a rock that was big enough to see hit the front center roof. There was a white mark through the xPel just larger than 1/4" in diameter. Everyone said this was damage under the xPel. When I ripped the xPel off after the trip....not a mark in the paint. It was amazing. Similarly, by the time our trip was complete, we had lots of small window marks, yet not a single mark in the front bumper area...one could actually watch xPel self healing properties after a day or two of a ding occurring.

Made a similar trip cross country and took a rock about 1" in diameter right to the carbon fiber hood insert which marked the Xpel white. Pi$$ed me off royally. Removed the Xpel and zero damage to the hood. I'm a believer.

I live in the same area as you and made the drive to Ryan at Auto Paint Guard in north Tampa. Very well worth the drive. He is very professional and you cud eat off the floors of his shop. I got mine done a week after delivery and he suggested that I cover the scoops and front lower sections of the rear fenders until the film was installed as these are very susceptible to stone chips, and I did so and 2000 miles later no chips even on the films. Great investment and Ryan does fabulous work. You can't even see the film. Cheers

Installation is everything. Take the time to drive to Tampa. See Ryan at Auto Paint Guard. They are absolutely the best!
