Improving heated seats?
Every single owner I've asked about their heated seats has told me they are anemic. Lots of Facebook chatter echoes the same feeling. I can have mine on level 3 for as long as I choose and barely know they're on. (other cars I've had heat up in just a minute and need to be turned off of level high to be comfortable)
Assuming that most seat heaters are built using similar elements, I'm wondering if there is possibly a way to get more heat through software manipulation. If so, maybe GM is willing to do so if enough of us complain. Comments?

I'd consider taking it to the dealer, maybe the elements are bad. I have no issue at all and run mine on level 1 or I am way too warm. Do you have the leather or suede?

Tried mine out today for the 1st time and have the same problem...It took almost 15 minutes to feel any heat..I thought they were totally broke for a while there.

I don't even bother to use mine..The heated and cooled portion take wayyyy to long to make a difference. The heated seats in my truck heat up in no time and I'm reaching for the off switch.

Strange. Mine are very responsive and you can really tell the difference! Cooling is great and when on heat, level 3 is usually too high for me...

I have an Avalanche and it takes 2 minutes before I must turn it down from a level 3 or else!
It would be nice to have that in the Z06 as well, but as you have stated it is worthless and I have given up even using the heating part.
Competition seats here....but the bottom of the seat I believe is the same as in the GT seat.

After 10 minutes, I can barely feel that the seats are on. I thought my car had a problem since my Denali can fry eggs in a minute and my C6Z was the same. Good to know that it's not the car.

If you can't drive it under 40 degrees, Who needs a seat heater

I'd be curious to see the surface temp of your seats when they're "hot". Clearly, if you read the other posts in this thread, your temps are abnormal. (or, you are more sensitive than others)

Same my vented seats are great as well. I think the differences is if you have leather or Suede inserts. I've sat in the leather and it takes much longer and isn't nearly as potent. I think the suede allows for better heat transfer.

The heating and cooling with my competition seats in my 2016 Z06 are not as good as they were with the non-competition seats that were in my 2014 Stingray. So for you folks that don't have good heating and/or cooling, what kind of seats do you have?

I used mine this morning with it being about 35 outside. After about 10 minutes I cut it down to level 2 because I was getting too warm. My C6 would have reached that point in about half the time. I have the standard seats without the suede inserts.

The ventilated seats have the padding that allows ventilation of the seats between the heaters and the seat leather/suede. The older seats that only have heat do not have the padding that allows for the ventilation. This is why the new heated/ventilated seats take longer to heat up/don't feel as hot. Totally normal, although disappointing.

Mine are great but it's a C-6 with the crappy interior where everything works.

? ? Confused
Wait, you mean there are people who want their butts hotter?
Down here in the deep South, we don't understand that concept. I know about "butt burn" from plopping down on a hot bucket seat parked in the sun, but wanting or needing more heat seems weird.
I guess that's what they mean by "American by birth, Southern by the Grace on God!"

OP I agree that mine don't feel like I think they should. My 11 GS would need to be cut off or down after just a few minutes and that's even when the car was bone cold. The dealer gave me a new Caddy to drive while they were replacing the flex plate and it didn't work any better, so maybe they have had to lower them for safety reasons.
