I have a tire issue that I've got a real concern about -- my 15 C7 Z06 M7 has 9500 miles on it and is exactly one year old.
I noticed that I had a cord showing on the passenger rear tire on the very inside of the wheel. I did some more investigating, and it turns out I have cords showing on both rears and the front drivers side-- all in the exact same spot (very inside of tire).
I purchased the tire and wheel protection plan. Do you think I'll get any help from the plan? The tires have at least 4/32 of tread on each of them, above the minimum of 3/32 for the tires.
Any thoughts? Car drives straight and I had no reason to suspect an alignment issue until now...
I'll take it to the dealer tomorrow but I'm afraid they will say it's time to buy 4 new tires.
From everything I've seen, 9500 miles out of a set of rears is pretty good. That is about what I has on mine before I had to replace them. They will most likely say that its time for a new set, but you can try and press your luck on the abnormal wear and tear. Might be best to go ahead and have them do an alignment, or look into it. Good luck!
