Default Ported Blower Results!!! c7z06owners.com teams up with Jokerz Performance

I have teamed up with Jokers Performance to bring the community a Ported Blower option for our Z06S. This blower option has been working great for the v3 guys on my other site ctsvowners.com

Here is a before/after on the same car. NO TUNING done just ported blower vs stock. Max power/torque only tell half of the story...... look at the overall gain across the entire rpm range plus also boost goes up a little. The drop in high end is due to the fact oem intake isnt supplying enough.

STAGE 1 90MM $900
STAGE 1 CONSISTS OF BASIC POT JOB TO OPEN UP SNOUT AND BLOWER

STAGE 2 90MM $1000
STAGE 2 CONSISTS OF BASIC PORT JOB AND EXTENDING OF THE INLET

STAGE 3 90MM $1250
STAGE 3 INCLUDES WELDING SNOUT AND BLOWER AND EXTENDING OF THE INLET

ADD $100 FOR 102MM PORTING

3-4 week wait time

PM ME TO SET IT UP

Any questions feel free to ask and as always I'm around 24/7 to help so if you have any questions just holler back or call/text me 415 519 2432

Would that paired with a Halltech need a tune?

We have not tested it with a afe intake or halltech. Due to the increase in PSI on the bower plus another increase when doing the afe intake (almost 1 psi also) I would do a tune. With the blower porting/AFE intake your looking at a potential of haveing 80 rwhp/80 rwtq in parts of the power band so I would get the car at lease checked afr if your not going to tune it.

The ctsv v3 guys cars are a bit heavier than ours and they said the car power is felt through off line pulls.

Please look at overall power band and the drop is from using oem intake. Torque jumped also. You have to look at power made across the board not just peak. Just like there are people who posted up dyno that showed 2 hp with intake but 30 torque.

This test was done on everything stock just ported blower swap

once again look at entire curve. At points it did 50 more torque at wheels. Headers for 2000 dollars wont even do that.

That mich power under the curve will make a car MUCH faster.... Peak numbers don't mean too much in this case....

I have seen this persons work and it's good... I started doing a self port on my LT4 blower a few weeks ago, little tricky to port but there is material to be removed

not sure they ended up doing cam/headers etc on it this was just a test for the blower before other mods added. that being said a ported blower will make just as much power as the edelbrock 2300 and the 2300 would be 3 psi more... as we have seen at the horrible result on tonys 2300 edelbrock swapped car.

Have you tried a different intake yet to see if the power rises at higher rpm's vs the small dip shown?

No sorry. People just buy this service from me and either hall tech or afe intake and no synod yet just customers with great feedback.

Upgrading to the 2300 only made 50 FT LBS more tq and almost no HP gain? That's a lot of money for so little gain...

I just finished porting my blower on my car.... Worked the entire case entry, runners, snout, and lightly touched the discharge... No dyno numbers, but significant difference

I wonder if porting this small blower would help with overheating.
In my 04 cobra days we ported the stock Eaton because after adding pulleys etc it would heat up pretty well and overheat the car ie EOC. In the Cobra world Eaton was nicknamed "Heaton". Given the small size of the Z blower as well as what i have read on the track overheating threads, it seems that the blower running hot is a big part the overheating problem as well as the intercooler blocking airflow to the radiator. ( reference LG motorsports thread on their inter cooler fix to overheating). Just my .02

Syno posted is oem vs ported oem

2300 blowers don't make much more power over oem 1700... it's sad on results I've seen

The 2.3 seems to have an issue with the lid not handling the pressure and venting boost out the top..... the lid flexes. I think it would do a lot better if they get that fixed.....

Holy crap that is a huge gain in non peak torque! Makes the 2.3 seem superfluous if we can realize these gains from the 1.7.

NORCAL-SS - any plans on pairing this up with a ported TB and intake to see how the system responds to increased airflow?
