Yeah, they have it lowered for the show stage. Actual production cars will likely sit higher.

with Snorman

You might recall pics of the Corvettes when they were on the stage...

This was a pic from the 2013 debut

There is the show stage, and there is reality...

The Corvette can be easily lowered a little if somebody isn't happy with the ride height. Not sure about the Camaro. I was happy with my car's ride height, and since I track it, didn't touch it.

One possibility is that the demographics of the Camaro can handle a bit of ride harshness...maybe they put more spring rate or anti dive into the car but...guys that track the Z06's like Snorman...under heavy braking at stock ride height, those fronts tires are buried.

All Corvettes have wheel gap as they come off the production line and are loaded for transport. The extra clearance helps prevent damage, etc. and then any aero components are added upon delivery. The car is designed to be lowered but most dealerships leave that up to the individual owner. I'm sure the same thought process has been applied to the performance trim Camaros.

Maybe they could have lowered the cars for the show circuit, however I'm sure they have the same transport issues regarding clearance, etc.

You really don't want to lower very much. My Z07 has a front splitter that is 5.5 inches off the ground. I also have a pretty flat driveway and still have to crank the steering tight one or the other to keep from rubbing the splitter on the concrete as the front wheels drop down in the curb dip. I can say this for sure you don't want to rub it against concrete as it gets deeply scratched with just one rub and it wouldn't take many to get it to the point you would be paying for a replacement at $2K per pop.

I see some cars that have the fender's clear down on the wheels.
Lowered way down. Its right up there with too dark of tint.
Really looks like crap to me.

Looks clean with little to no gap. But on the road it sucks having to duck and dodge potholes, taking inclines at an angle etc... My buddies 7 lowered on stock bolts can barely clear the lifts to change oil etc...
