Car moves around at 185 - 190 mph - ADDED VIDEO
Ran the Texas Mile the last few days and the car moves side to side at high speed. not enough to cause concern over safety but enough that i have to be scrubbing off speed. I am pretty sure it is the way the alignment is set. im guessing stock is more of a track setup although I maybe wrong. however has anyone set alignment for more of a straight line speed and if they have had success can you share the specs? My top speed this weekend was 191. going to do more mods to the car before next event to hit 200 plus. i think less movement would be a good thing. running michelin PSS. maybe toyo 888. next time. Any info appreciated. Thanks

Been reading a lot about alignment seems a magazine driver had trouble and GM set rear caster. You will need to find someone who's has the gauge and one more item. The Pontiac solstice had rear caster adjustment also, so someone familiar with that car maybe able to help. Bill Dearborn maybe able to help you.

As already mentioned, I would take it to LG in Plano/Allen. I think he sold his building and is building a new facility on some acreage that he owns. He is a sponsor and there is a link on the vendor side of the forum. He is a good guy and won't waste your money as some do. He has a car and has run in the alms series as well as other high speed series. Pretty much only works on Corvettes and Camaros. He has done stuff for me over the past 20 years.

Very cool 191 I could not image, I thought 150 was a lot! Your sensation while it sounds like aero such as following a tractor trailer on the highway probably is not. Our Z toe was off from the factory. If yours is I would guess it would scrub major speed and give the odd feel. We've done some wild Porsche track alignments with major toe out. It got to the point where the driver said speed scrub was very noticeable on the straight but it turned like a MF! I highly doubt its a rear or front castor issue that effect is suspension motion although at those speeds your compressing some. Get it aligned and grab 200

I have nothing to add either, other than how insanely awesome it is that:
C7Z forum = where real life 305km/hr handling questions are valid.

I have Stage 3 aero, but for a high-speed track like the Rolex 24 roadcourse at Daytona I think I'll probably strip it down to Stage 1 for less drag.
My stock C6 Z06 did 175 across the Start/Finish line at Daytona before braking for the turn into the infield, and my ZR1 does 185.
With Stage 1 aero I hope the C7 Z06 will do about like the ZR1 and still be stable.
The C6's were rock solid up at 175-185, but you didn't have your "movement" until above that, so I hope the C7 will be solid at what ever speed I'll see with just Stage 1.

Moon, great runs and I hope you get the issue resolved
I mean no disrespect to the C6Z (I had one and loved it) but saying that "it is good to see that the C7 Z's can run up there too" is a bit of an understatement.... They are owning the shorter sprints (0-60, 1/4 mile) and now are more than just stretching their legs on the longer 1/2 and mile runs
I know the C7 Z has the fastest 1/2 mile trap vs. its C6 counterparts (Z06 AND ZR1) and I hear that a bone stock one went 184 this time, skipping the C6Z06 and going to the ZR1 fast list, the #1 bone stock ZR1 mile posted is 184.1, and that's supposedly a run where the "King of the Hill" has (had?) the advantage.....
OP again, great passes and I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you. I only made it out for a few hours on Saturday, maybe in the fall

I don't think you'd want to dance with Serge's Z06.

The nonsense isn't anything to do with the numbers, it's the insistence of some C6Z folks to express their butthurt in the C7Z forum, and the weakness of some C7Z members to let themselves be baited and bring the ZR1 into it. None of which has anything to do with the thread topic.
And I live in a world that has turns ... straight line pulls are like having sex in only one position. I respect the folks who excel at that one thing, but it's not for me.

Kevin,
It was great to meet you. I enjoyed talking with you and watching your runs. You're definitely a car guy, and that Misses of yours is a keeper (and a bad. . . or maybe that is good. . . influence LOL).
