Default Thinking about going Procharged....

I'm thinking about going Procharged, I was looking towards the system with the F1 blower on it. Is there anything I should think about before pulling the trigger? I am looking around seeing prices with this blower is around 8k, do they come complete? I know on my last Vet with A&A I had to order a separate radiator? Any advice would be great thank you!

Just received my Procharger for my Z. Have not installed it yet. My head unit is the F1A. Was going to get the a bigger F1D or F1X but after talking with the people at procharger, was assured the F1A would do what I want. Got an F2 on another vette-to big, way to big. Good luck! Let me know what unit you decided to go with.

We are doing an F1R C7Z right now that we will have to the track within a few weeks. If you do decide on a Procharger shoot us an email and i will beat any advertised pricing on the kit.

If you are not planning to go 850+ rwhp the factory blower will be faster.... (1/4 mile)

Interesting comment (frankly speaking). Is that because the normal advantage down low on the roots type blower vs centri? We've seen so many 1/4 record times come from the Procharger, of recent.

Also, what type of HP is the stock unit, safely (and reliably) capable of with just pulley changes. Thanks!

My comment is mainly A8 focused. Really need a higher converter on a procharged torque curve. Low 1.4 sixties are very simple with the stock converter/factory blower. With the stock blower you will be limited to mid 7xxrwhp A8. Alot of factors though such as e85, ported blower, cam selection, ect.

Email on pm for pricing.

F1r is more suited for 1000rwhp. Now for 1200rwhp sure go f1x but the stock bottom end/trans is only going to take the abuse for so long and i feel an A8 around 950-1000rwhp is a good stopping point if you actually plan to run the car and not just have a dyno sheet.

We have two builds going on right now that we are looking to get back into the fastest C7Z. Not just the fastest stock blower record which we have with just a few bolt ons.

Depends on what you are looking for. Our basic bolt on package includes just a lower pulley, CAI, and x pipe that has been as fast as 9.81@141mph on our 15 Z06 A8. Went back to the track a few weeks ago on the same setup and did two 9.86@140mph passes in a row on a 15mph headwind.

A customer brought his 16 Z to us for the same package and pulled a 9.9@140 first pass of the night in average air and followed up with another 9.9.

We have done this exact setup on many C7 Z's but i don't believe anyone else has gotten to the track yet.

That's impressive as hell.. I appreciate the scoop. I'm going to upgrade in the near future. I do know a good tuner. Don't think he's done much with the c7 zo6 yet. He would need some direction for the tune as I'm in the Seattle area. I just got my car, havent had a track day yet.. Trying to figure out how I'm going to run with out being told I need a cage?????

Curious if the A8 trans has proven to have any issues at these higher power levels. I will likely be picking up a C7Z here shortly, and I am heavily leaning towards the A8....but I am also planning to go with the F1X setup to take the heat sink off the top of the motor and I have not read too much about the limits of the factory A8's limits before you are fighting slip or worse.
