Default Black lugs installed.

Wasn't sure if this was worth starting a thread over but what the hell, someone might be on the fence. I switched my center caps on my 15' Z to the 16' black ones and switched to gorilla black locking lugs. Happy with the look.

Makes sense to me, and I have chrome wheels, so you know it's right :-)

Kinda surprised GM didn't do this by default, now that I see it.

That always looks nice, but I don't monkey with safety features that go back as far as 1967. If it predates normal shoulder belts, you know it's an important idea....

Then again I have no idea if they still reflect properly, maybe they do.

I had mine installed last week as the chrome ones looked out of place with the black rims. Once I get the laguna blue mud guards and install them, that's all for awhile.

I thought of doing the same.

I like my '16 caps, but also like the slight contrast w/the chrome lug nuts.

It seems too "washed" out IMO.

What's the center cap part number? I like the all black centers but will likely keep the chrome nuts as stated above.

Best,
Gene

Contact Gene Culley at Cultrag performance, he is a vendor on here and will get you the center caps. I've ordered several things from him and he's great!

Anti-Chrome Z lol. I'm doing the emblems next then exhaust tips. In person it def doesn't look washed out, imo should have came like this from the factory. In fact here is a GM promo image.

Thanks for posting. Somehow i missed the memo concerning the center cap change fome 15 to 16. I like the 16 cap much better.

Not to hijack your thread but if anyone has a 16 that prefers the look of the black/chrome ring 2015 style cap please pm. id be happy to trade plus pay the shipping.

No good reason you can't do that.

Hey, Thanks! I can post the link when I get home. I bought them on Amazon. I bought the locking ones just because those are the ones I found that def fit. The markers I did myself, I did all 4 corners but not the rear bumper yet. For the markers I sanded them down with 2k then a few coats of VHT nite shades then a ton of clear and more sanding/polishing. They look like glass.

Just ordered the center caps from Cultrag

Trans....when you look directly at the wheels do you see a ring of chrome around the lugs where they sit? I'm probably going to order them anyway when you post the link but I was curious if these are a little small just as others have been shown to be.

Thanks!

Best,
Gene

Here's a picture of mine with Gorilla lugs. You can see the aluminum area around the lugs, but you really have to be on your knees and looking for it.

I'm a picky PITA and it doesn't bother me at all. You have to be on your knees and be looking down the barrel to see the silver. The silver is also visable with the factory lugs. It's machined and I'm sure it helps that the lug is seated to a clean machined finish vs painted/coated area. I had intentions of painting that area but after I installed them I decided it was pointless.
