Default Magnuson 2.3 installed on my C7 Z06

I had my buddies from lethal performance SA TX install one of 2 first to install the Magnuson supercharger upgrade for C7 Z06. What I want to see is what if Chevrolet would have went with a 2.3 instead of 1.7. So the only mod to my stock LT4 is oil catch can and Magnuson supercharger and custom tune. Other than that stock cold air intake stock exhaust no headers. We did soft dyno pull at 4500 rpm with low boost and it was tracking same numbers from another c7 z06 that they installed every bolt on available like custom cam ,heads, ported blower, exhaust you name it.. It had it. Here are some pics. We stop the dyno pull and waiting for 8 rib pulley.. So stay tune final numbers...😬

sub'n. once you have it on the car, please let us know if the extra power is "usable" power, or if it just shreds the tires. im considering this blower, or a procharger.

Please keep us posted! Looking to do the same, upgrade blower, but which one!!?? I will bet it will put it at 695/695, just like the eforce and will probably be a beast! Congrats on the build, looking forward to the results!

Default Hood Mods

How did they get the 2.3 to fit in the same space as the 1.7 without modifying the hood?

Wow, thanks for posting! The Maggie 2.3 looks very cool and I'm surprised it fit under the hood.

This one fits under a stock C7 hood. The whipple 2.9 was the one that needed a different hood.

I fits with mods to the hood.. Magnuson specifically made it for c7 z06.. I just got lucky to be one of the first to have it..

ive seen 740 rwhp with heads/cam/long tubes/exhaust on a c7 z06. Ill be very surprised if the 2300 makes 725 rwhp with stock exhaust at 13 psi. ive done more than my fair share of 2300s on ls cars/trucks and currently doing a 2.9 on my escalade. The 2300 edelbrock has been a disaster. With 3 more psi boost over the 1.7 they only make 50 rwhp more.

I have yet to see a 2300 make 700 rwhp on a 6.2 with less than 13 boost with stock intake/exhaust/pump gas etc. So looking forward to seeing your numbers. Hopefully they did a pull before blower swap that way we can see before/after numbers. The 1700 gets into boost faster then the 2300s so you have to look at the entire torque curve.

Whipple 2.9 on my 2016 escalade im working on today

So what are you thinking the gain will be with no other mods, just the 2.3 and tune, 125rwhp? When will these be available to purchase?,do they come with a CAN tune?

Wow I have identical car and just made it back into town. How funny that I had planned to go to Lethal Performance tomorrow now that it quit raining and see what kind of goodies they had for the Z. Is your car still there?? I'd like to see it or IM me your number and maybe we can meet up and talk cars over some coffee or a beer.
