So I have a new 2016 ZO6 I can not get my iPod to work now. It worked just fine in my 2015 Stingray. Anyone else have issues or can you help me out?!?! Thanks in advance.
Can you describe "not working". No connection? No power? No song titles? Which part works and what doesn't? If nothing works, can you at least charge at that port? Have you tried the two different ports (behind screen and inside the console)?
It's like you've tried nothing at all and you're all out of ideas! :-)
I have tried all of the USB's I push media an goes to my iPhone. It has worked a couple times but it's like it won't even connect to my iPod. Like it doesn't even recognize it. I've tried, seems like everything an nothing works. It does work outside of the car, because it's new. An worked in my Stingray.
I had the same problem. I had to hook the IPod to the radio via headphone "out" jack on the IPad to the source "in" jack that is in the council next to the 2 USB ports of the Z.
It's a longshot, but you might want to try a different USB cable; if its a lightning cable, try reversing it.
I've had trouble with an old iPod (like a white ancient one) but everything modern has "just worked" for me, so I haven't had much of a chance to troubleshoot them yet...
Only certain Ipods will work, there is a list in the owner's manual.
I have the latest gen Nano and it would recognize it one time and then not see it the next time. Went to the dealer and they found a bulletin and did a software update that may fix it.
Fortunately, this version of the Nano has bluetooth so I connected it that way and it is always there. I don't get album art but that's not a big deal.
I've had similar problems. Had a 6th generation Nano in my 14 Stingray and never had a problem. Would only intermittently connect to my new 16 Z. Would have to reset it almost every time I started the car. Went out and got a new 7th gen Nano and same thing. I've tried different sub ports and different cables. Kind of annoying.
I had similar issues with my 2016 Z06 compared to my 2015 Z06. I have an Ipod Touch, 5 I think, I don't have it with me at the moment, but I ended-up using the cable that came with the Ipod and putting it in the area behind the nav/phone display, and now it is controlled through the steering wheel buttons. And actually I can hit the phone button on the steering wheel and just tell it what song I want and it goes right to it in a few seconds. The first time I hooked it up it wouldn't recognize it so I took my Ipod to my office and connected it online and just did a software upgrade search and did the upload and it worked great after that. Hope that helps.
