I read on here a while back that is was a challenge to mount the tires to the wheels. Well now I am experiencing that. The shop I took it to yesterday, which is Michelin recommended, spent 4 hours trying to get it mounted and failed. Has anyone encountered this and what was the end result? Anyone have any tips I can share with them that might help?
..yes...the best tip: Tell your shop to use a sealant along the bead - thats all it needs
Murphys Tire & Tube Mounting Compound (pic is of a different brand...same stuff)....just found the pic of Murphys stuff....and thats not my tire (thankfully)
if the shop does it correctly, they will work the tire on as far as possible...and be left with approximately 3 to 6" of gap where the tire just wont move - fill that gap to stop the air escaping, and "thy will be done" !
Just had a set put on 2 weeks ago. Took abut 45 minutes and that was with a road force balance. Just go somewhere that does tires and wheels like this.

Well I hope it doesn't come to that. I am running out of options because I have to use who Michellin sends me to because this is warranty work. While they haven't been able to do it yet, they have a great never give up attitude and have been super professional about it. Seems like a great shop so I am rooting for them for more than selfish reasons.
