Default Drive mode selector

Hi, I bought my very first Corvette Z06 last month and been reading through the manual. My question is: Can the drive mode selector be changed to different modes while the car is in motion? Does the car have to be in a complete stop or at a certain low speed before switching between modes? Thanks for any input.

Can be adjusted while in motion or stopped.

That is a sometimes, not all the time. This past weekend I was sitting in pit lane waiting for the track crew to clean up an incident and turned off the engine. I was first in line and when they cleared the track the traffic control guy in the pits raised his hand to signal the track was open. I hit the starter and before the instrument panel was finished doing its thing they were motioning me out on track with 15 other cars right on my bumper. I could move the indicator to Track Mode while moving but couldn't hit the button twice and go into the various sub modes of track mode. Had to make a lap, pull into the pits and stop before it would let me choose Sport 2. Two other times similar things happened (before and after the time it didn't work) but I was able to get into Sport 2 mode before Turn 1.

Not sure why it didn't want to cooperate that one time but it was a PIA. I did find I can get around the track pretty quick in Tour Mode though.

That's interesting. Haven't gone to the tracks yet, but I will surely keep that in mind when I do. Will see if it happens to me too. Thanks for the info.
