Default Maintenance cost differences

Looking for the general/ball park cost difference in maintaining a Z06 vs Z51.

For example, are brakes pads 10% higher, etc..

Tires may go a little quicker. Brakes Pads? They last too long anymore to worry. Really little to worry about as far as increased costs.
Even insurance is about the same.

The difference in maintenance costs is so miniscular, the real question is how fast do you want to go?

Insurance is definitely higher than a Z51-equipped C7. I think it was about $50 or $100 higher every 6 months when I checked. Its not a lot higher, but if you're adding up expenses it is a consideration. The Z06 would also consume about 25% more fuel. Depreciation would also be higher as a percentage of cost, since it about $20k or more higher than a Z51.

For street driving maintenance costs are about the same as any GM car. Near nothing. An oil change once per year or maybe twice per year. Coolant changes are every 5 years. Brake fluid changes every two years. Transmission and diff fluid changes are almost none existent for any street driven GM vehicle. Maybe every 100K miles.

Tires will be a little more expensive.

However, if you go to the track some maintenance costs can be much higher for the Z06 than the Z51. Brake pads and brake rotors can be super expensive for the Z06 depending on the brake system you have. The Z51 will consume about half the fuel a Z06 will during a full track day. Fuel gauge on the Z06 plummets when running WOT. I have run through 5/8 of a tank of fuel in 19 minutes of track duty with my Z06. My old C6Z and some C7 Z51s could run close to 4 20 minute sessions on one tank of fuel.

my insurance went from 60 to 120 a month from my 2014 C7 to my 2016 Z06

when it needs tires I'll trade it in.

Thanks, guys, was thinking it was worse. Probably crossed track info with regular driving info as Bill pointed out.
