Default Remote Start

I thought I had ordered all when ordering my 2015 Z 06. Although I have the designated symbol on my fob, I cannot remote start the car. Did I miss something? Best

Is your car an A8? Read owners manual

Maybe you didn't get the A8 option? Though I would hope that GM gives you specific keys if you lack that feature, maybe they don't. That'd be weird and cheap though... kinda of like rev match "Paddles" to save money.

I would also hope all you coupe guys don't have to look at the power top button either!

A8 only feature. Same fob. My 2014 M7 Stingray had the remote start button. Also works with the APP. I have an A8 Z now. I dont use it much as it just wastes gas, but I live in SoCal.

Thanks all. It was particular helpful to see diagram from manual provided by Dave 396 LT1 provided.
It immediately occurred to me I was not pressing the "lock" symbol at all but just the "start" symbol.
Thanks again. Best

Till you have to start paying for Onstar, which isn't worth a penny.

You get to use the app (for 5 years) to remotely start the vehicle, which is all I care about, because as Firemed said, its nice to have the car already cool or hot if you're not in standard key remote range like inside a building etc

All the remote functions on the app
Sending destinations to the nav via the web site or app
Monthly status reports.

All of these are included in the 5 years basic plan and no need for any data plan unless you want to use the wifi for your cell phone. I never saw a need for that.
