Default Getting close to pulling the trigger!

Hey Guys,

Just checking in for a minute...

I had a chance to drive a 2015 Z06 last week, and am closing in on a final decision to buy a 2017 Black Rose metallic Z with the Z07 package and GT seats, don't need too much beyond that.

I'll keep my C5, and sell my C6, as well as the wife's 66 Mustang fastback GT, neither one of us really drive it.

I like to hit the road course now and then, as well as the 1/2 and standing mile. I REALLY enjoy hitting the canyons, and have great roads right out my back door, since I live on the top of a mountain.

I know there is a TON of info out there on how to optimize cooling on these cars, and I'm definitely looking to do what ever it takes to be able to drive this car hard in the warm California climate...

I don't plan on doing too many other mods, but will do the basic pulley, cold air intake and tune for sure. I'll do a bunch of before and after dyno runs and ultimately have a few tunes on the car at different octanes. I like putting videos together, and am starting to get excited about making some cool vids with this car.

Here's a pic of my supercharged C5, (can you guess why I'm going with the Black Rose??? and a video from last weeks track day...

I'm waiting for the new color, and they are not quite taking orders for the 2017s yet, although one dealer said I could get in the queue...

I will say I'm basically there now, and actually starting to get just a bit excited about this thing!

Well.. It's a great feeling and I recently gave up waiting for a 17 and picked up a 16 so I could enjoy my summer with it.. What color are you looking for?

Generally when the dealer says.. Get on the line, they are pretty much telling you no discounts etc. given the type of deal you can get on a 16 and there aren't any changes to the 17.. It makes me feel waiting for a 17 is pointless.

I hear you on the great deals on the 16s, but I have 2 Very good working vettes right now, and I'm totally stuck on the Black Rose Metallic, I'm ok waiting...

If you must have that color then there really isn't a better choice than wait and order... Good luck with the process.. It's a great feeling. God bless America for letting us have such amazing machines

That's a nicely tricked out C5. The rear end with the lower color contrast really creates a beautiful look with the Black Rose. Enjoy the new Z06 !!!!
