Do you guys with the side skirts find it more difficult to enter/exit without hitting or scuffing the skirts as opposed to when you didn't have them on?

No issues with entrance or exit, but you will greatly increase your chip protection from rocks exiting the front tires

I do have more difficulty getting in and out of the car with the ACS skirts. I have to pay attention or my foot wants to come down on the skirt when exiting the car. I've had them on for a month and I think I am getting used to them. With respect to rock chips, the skirts do an amazing job. I drove the car from Ohio to California with only ACS mud flaps and I got some minor chipping on the rear quarter panels. But I have had no further chips with the side skirts on.

I went with ACS because it is an OEM match. High quality, nice fit. If you do get a painted set (any brand), IMO you should buy them from the actual manufacturer. I first bought a set of "carbon flash" ACS skirts from a different vendor; unbeknowns to me at the time, he was buying "primed" skirts from ACS and painting them himself and repacking and shipping. They came damaged and the paint quality was lousy (twice). I returned them and bought a set directly from ACS; the ones from ACS were perfect.

I agree. The side skirts don't make it "difficult" to get in and out of the car, but you do need to be conscious of them when exiting or you will hit them with your foot.

I also put on the ACS skirts and am very pleased with them. I haven't had a problem exiting the car with them on but twice while getting in I've hit the rear of my foot near the achilles tendon. That was a pretty effective way of teaching me to lift my foot higher as I get in.

I would actually be VERY worried that any passengers getting in and out of my car are going to damage them. I'd probably have to constantly remind them to be careful entering the vehicle AND exiting

yep. I advise people on the proper way to enter and exit the car anyway (butt first entry rather than leg first), so this is just an extra "instruction." But they already know that I am somewhat of a control freak anyway.....

I went with G3 Carbon but have yet to receive them after ordering on 8/4.

Alan gave a tracking number last Thursday (after prodding) but they still have not shipped. I went with carbon flash to match my spoiler on my black vert. Will update with impressions when (if) i receive....

C7 Carbon here. Great fit and I just bought the ready to paint ones and had them wrapped in vinyl.

No mention of that long of a wait time when I emailed them, thanks for the heads up. Hope you get yours soon.

which brands need drilling? ACS recommends them I think? C7 doesn't say..

I'd like to get away without drilling but not sure if any of them can stand up well with no drill. Are the stock ones drilled in?

Mine (C7 Carbon) are drilled and riveted in. I have heard you can do double sided tape but did the rivets just in case.

They came through and shipped them 2 day to make up for the delay. I received them Friday and installed yesterday. They fit very well and cake to install using a right angle drill and swivel head rivet gun. No jacking required.

Stock ones are drilled and riveted by the dealer, I think. Here is a link to my installation and analysis from last month. You can install any of them with double sided tape instead of drilling, if you so choose.

ooh, looks promising that a newb like me might be able to do.,. did you do all the holes recommended by ACS?

meh, I don't own either an angle drill or swivel rivet tool.. haha. maybe I can hunt some labor day deals down at home depot

Mine were the G3 Carbon ones. I used all the holes - 6 per side plus 4 factory screws. Home Depot carries the swivel head Dewalt pop rivet gun and numerous little drills. I prefer the Festool CXS for its size and versatility .

On the drivers side just remember not to drill more than a 1/2" deep. Either mark the bit with tape or cut it off. There are cooling lines on that side that you wouldn't want to hit. As earlier mentioned , this is the Factory method and it's simple and secure.
