Well guys I have been kind of out of the Corvette world for some years now. Life comes at you fast and between starting my own business and taking care of my Dad while he battled cancer I've watched my Vettes collect dust for years. My Dad unfortunately passed away in October after battling stage 4 cancer for 15 years. One of the things we were supposed to do was get a C7 together. He bought a new Vette in 01; it's pristine with 16k on it. He probably would have gone for the base stingray but I needed to complete our journey in the only way I could see fit and that was getting the most bad *** factory built Vette. Though that statement is debatable let's leave that part of it alone I found a used C7.R, it had 147 miles on it when I picked it up. Guy literally bought it, drove it home, drove it two Sundays, then drove it back to his dealership. Me and a buddy drove out to Ohio, car was mint, and with the passing of a check and a few signatures it was mine Buying it was the easy part, loading it got pretty scary!! If I have to do it again it will be real easy the second time around!! First plans are to wrap the vehicle to protect it. Leaning toward Expel at the moment but we will see. She will be fully babied until she's broken in properly so I have zero feedback on performance but the car is definitely very cool. It's a major step up from the C5 I have as far as comfort, technology and styling. My C5 will whoop up on this Z as far as a straight line run though as it's a TT with 800 whp. But other than that, this Z is AMAZING. Wish my Dad was here to enjoy it with me but I know he will be in that passenger seat

OP my dad and I owned a C5 vert together. I sold it recently and bought my Z06 now 10 years after he passed. Like you I wish he could see and drive this beast.
Nice R, make sure it sees the track at least once you will be all smiles!

What all is suede in your car besides the seats, steering wheel and shifter? Is the side pieces on the mid console and the lid cover? Thanks!
Looks great!
