Default Quickjack 7000 users question

I'm on the fence over a quickjack 5000 or getting on the backorder list for a 7000..... I'm really only getting it for the vette but the bargin hunter in me is trying to think bigger picture and my wifes SUV is at the limit of the 5000's lift capacity and it could come in handy for tire rotations. What I'm looking for is any real world experience sliding a 7000 under a Z06 and if anyone had any issues.

I just got my quick jack 7000. and it works great on my 2016 Z06. It is a close fit on the Z as it is longer than the 5000 model, but it does fit and works like a champ.

I also use it on my Explorer and it is OK, but not as stable with the SUV adapters as if just using the rubber blocks. The only reason I got the 7000 is because of use on the SUV's, and my Explorer weighs 4855lbs with gas, so I thought I would go to the 7000 since it comes with the SUV adapters, and the 5000 the adapters are extra, so when you add the adapters in, you have same cost as the 7000.

But once again, it works great on the Z06.

Side note: If you at some time get a smaller car than your Vette, the 7000 model will be too long to fit between the tires to catch the frame of the smaller car since the 7000 is a longer lift.

Aghh your post just ruined it for me.... I was hoping for a "it doesn't fit" so I could just pull the trigger on a 5000 this morning lol

I appreciate the info! It was exactly what I was looking for

Not to high jack this thread, but I bought my 5000 from Garageenthusiast a few months ago and they were great to deal with. A big to them!

Are you sure about that? The specs list the min/max spread and frame length the same for both the 5000 and 7000. I want to order the 7000 just for the extra 2000lb cushion but will get the 5000 if cars with a shorter wheel base than the Z won't fit.

I have 24x24 porcelain tiles on my floor and was wonder if using this lift would mark up the tiles, does anyone have this issue or is some sort of rubber matting under the lift recommended?
Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if this device could be used for long term storage lift? Like 6 months in the air?

I would put a mat under it. The metal scratches my painted garage floor.

With the lock bars in place, you could leave a car on it indefinitely.

The QuickJacks have the locking bars so it should not be an issue.
