A fully automated way to protect your vehicle outside!
I was hoping to get some of your feed back on my new patent.
Link: https://www.facebook.com/Auto-Armor-...70979288224926
In summary:
I have just completed and obtained a patent pending for my newest invention!
The fully automated channeled retractable vehicle cover provides protection to any vehicle. The cover can be sized and fabricated to provide protection to a number of different vehicles including cars, trucks, boats, ATV’s, motorcycles, bicycles, etc. The enclosure is fabricated to accommodate generic sized vehicles and can also be sized for a specific vehicle. This allows for standard or custom enclosures depending upon the need of the vehicle owner.
The retractable vehicle cover provides a fairly rigid shell to protect from objects falling on the cover and also to protect from snow loads. While the enclosure is intended to protect a vehicle that is placed in an outside area, it can also be installed in a garage to provide protection from dust or from people rubbing against the enclosed vehicle.
The telescoping enclosure allows the enclosure to retract and occupy a small footprint when the vehicle is not in the cover.
The vehicle cover integrates seals to provide protection from the elements. The seal not only protects from wind and rain, but also from rodents and insects that can accumulate in a vehicle if it is left unattended for a continued period of time.
Production will begin very soon for those interested!

Kinda cool. Would take up a bunch of garage space. Can it lock so someone can't remove it? How does it anchor in place?

Cool idea but one question you said "The seal not only protects from wind and rain, but also from rodents and insects that can accumulate in a vehicle if it is left unattended for a continued period of time."
It looks like this thing is on wheels so wouldn't rodents just go in from underneath it?

^ haha.
Got to love the know it alls tho. Kudos to you for doing things that 99.9% of people in this country CAN'T do. That is create something from mind, put it on paper, then make it a reality. (It's not reality yet, but you are close). Hope you succeed. Looks pretty cool tho. Then you can dress it up with Corvette logo's or whatever auto logo you want on it. Or, if you get a divorce, you can now live in it.

Food for thought..............maybe have some type of seal that can be opened and closed on both sides (zipper, velcro, etc), so a battery tender can be hooked up to a front or rear battery.................Congratulations on a great idea---good for you!

I love it honestly. I currently have a 10'x20' ShelterLogic Car Port - the one that's fully enclosed. It seems pretty sturdy, but it hasn't been through a northeast winter yet. That'll be the test.
I think you'd make a killing if you offered them with climate control options as well. For me, keeping the Z06 in the car port protects it from the snow, but not the cold - which apparently can crack MPSS tires. Would like a climate controlled option for the jet ski too..
If you need help making a website or marketing it shoot me a PM - good luck!

Also, there is room to mount on the main housing just above the hood a heating and cooling unit for temperature control in the patent, there is also an insulated unit for extremely cold conditions! I have you covered

Cool idea. Kind of a nitch market but not a lot of competitors. Got many hits searching for "collapsible garage". Considering a product from Gazebox and other examples as prior art + a phrase the PTO likes to use, "skilled in the art" they will likely restrict your claims to some of the finer details you mentioned. Hopefully they issue some strong claims or you make a fortune before it gets copied.
Best of luck with your idea.

WOW...........an insulated version....fantastic. Now you really have my interest------can you share rough pricing for the various options. Like anything else, pricing can be the key, but it sounds like you have a winner here....................again, good for you.

1. Anyone skilled in the art can expand or naturally scale up the motorcycle version. Just because there is no patent in the US, just means that even if you get one, you will not be able to defend it. The idea is in the marketplace.
2. Unless you come up with the only way to do something, an engineer or someone skilled in the industry will be able to find a way around your patent. You will be left holding the empty bag.
3. Your patent is only as good as its claims...this is where I doubt that you have strong enough ones (all encompassing).
4. A provisional patent application does not stop someone else from implementing your product design. All it does is stop the clock on the idea and should you be able to obtain a patent establish the first date.
5. Getting a patent will end up costing typically $20k.....if you make changes in the design that does not include the features in the claims, you will need to file again.....and pay again.....
Good luck....
