I will not be using my Spring Mountain driving class deal you get when you buy a Z06.

Has anyone tried to sell their seat to someone else that wanted to go?

Doesn't work that way. They check name against vin number from GM then you need to show ID and credit card when you check in at SM. Nothing there to sell.

That's bummer, I would even consider giving my VIN to someone just so they could enjoy the class.

I know that people have had their spouse and/or kids go, and names and addresses can differ. Can't hurt to call em and ask em what their policy is.

I am pretty sure that the answer will be "no" to "selling" it, but who knows.

They told me that if for any reason I can't go, an immediate family member (my son) could use it.

How do you get this deal? (something comes in the mail automatically?) Is it automatic to everyone who just buys a Z06?

I wish you could. I bought my Z used but I'd definitely do this if I could get the $1500 discount

Automatic for anyone who buys a new Corvette. You have one year to use it. GM does send a certificate. It may take months to get it. You don't need it to schedule the course. You just have to call Spring Mountain with your name and VIN and you can schedule the course.

I don't know if I can play the "my son" card to another corvette owner considering I would of had you at 13 in order for you to have a drivers license let alone a vette but I'll play the here you go Dad card all day long.......

I recently returned from Spring Mountain. What an incredible experience. If you bought a C7 or C7/Z06 by all means, if you have the time & extra money go! You will not be disappointed.

I talked to Donna today from SM. Per her there are not rules from SM, it's all GM. You can give it to a relative. I have to talk to GM to find out the deal. IMO I paid for this with my car and I should be able to do with it what I want, it's part of the purchase. If you have the same last name as I do I guess you could pretend to be a relative

Track is by Vegas so I am sure someone could get a fake ID with your last name.

My wife would love to go take the class with me but we are not gonna pay the full price for her to do it. Would be nice if GM would offer the deal to both husband and wife.
