New from GSpeed, a dry-break intercooler bleeding tool to help bleed the difficult factory supercharger cooling systems on C7Zs.
We've custom machined fittings with Jiffy-Tite dry break valve bodies that replace the factory fill port. It comes with a mating fitting and reservoir that allows you to fill the system, bleed it, then disconnect the reservoir while it's still full without making a mess.
Retail price is selling for $170, and the production ones will be available in 3-4 weeks. We'll be using nicer beakers than the one shown above; that was a proof-of-concept once we got our custom fittings in.
If you order a pump override tool at the same time, we'll knock ten dollars off the price.
Thanks for all the feedback we got during development of this part. The community involvement helps us figure out where we need to be steering our efforts.
Can you please advise regarding the OEM passenger side intercooler reservoir? How much of an air bubble is left behind after using this method? Does it matter?

Due to the design, there will always be SOME air left in the reservoir. Anecdotally, people have run with 1/4" to 1/2" of air with no problems. It's hard to say exactly when air becomes a problem, but hopefully we (as a community) can figure that out moving forward.
Jake, do you have instructions on this dry break tool yet? A Video would be great to see how it works. This tool may allow me to do it myself since I have not found a GM dealer that can do it but I don't want to screw up and make the problem worse. I have a lot of air in my system.....

Yes, we will, but I haven't had a chance to get to it yet. Sorry, it's coming soon.
Already ordered this and this and the override tool. If its gonna be 3-4 weeks for the bleeding kit can you guys send the override tool first. My last name is Aspris. Thanks
I expect these will fly off the shelves later this year when we're all upgrading our intercooler bricks and supercharged covers to 2017 spec. Nice product.

We have placed a large order from jiffy tite that's causing the lead time. However, we plan to modify some already existing parts to get the orders out by middle/late next week.
First run of parts is in stock and shipping today! We're using Nalgene beakers that are much more rigid than the proof-of-concept shown above, and will not care at all about coolant temperatures.

can you define significantly please? Before vs after IAT2s.. looks great and simple for any to use. Well done
The car had a lot of mods, granatelli tank, upper, lower, headers, etc. It would shut the intercooler pump down 3/4 times per session. After it was bled, it would only shut it down 1-2 times per session. Nothing Datawise to report, other than the customer feed back.
