Default Acceleration Problem - Autocross

Having a problem with acceleration at autocross right at coming off the line. 2015 Z06, fully loaded, Z07, CCB, no other issues. Problem is waiting for the "Go" signal then hitting the gas and letting the clutch out - engine almost dies and has no power then starts spooling up and takes off. Its got to be costing me a couple of seconds on my track passes. Rest of the track time is fine except for the launch. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

What mode are you in and what traction mode (sport 1, track, est.) It could be traction control? Are you using launch control or just dumping the clutch?

I'm in Track 2 mode, just jumping the clutch.

Give it a blip or two to get the revs up and hold them at 3-4K. Then smoothly release the clutch. If you try to release the clutch while pressing the throttle from idle, it'll bog. Get your revs up first and you'll get a nice launch or smoke the tires if you overshoot.

You can get a sense from the start of my 4 runs in this video. This was my first autocross with the Z so there was a learning curve.

Yeah don't dump the clutch. Like spearfish said it will bhog. Instead use launch control or release the clutch slower.

I autocrossed mine in July. I couldn't use launch control since the car was facing down hill toward the start line. I just started the car like I did all my other Vettes. Bring rpms up to about 3000 and when I decide to go let the clutch out while moving down on the gas. The car would bog slightly but would then immediately launch toward the first turn. I used Track Mode Sport 1 and Sport 2.

I got Overall FTD with this run with a little drizzle occurring.

This was the last run of the day when we were doing fun runs. I had passengers with me on all the runs.

Yeah, it may be necessary to hold the revs up and let the clutch out instead of raising the revs as you let the clutch out.
