I've searched and can't seem to come up with anything anyway. What is the best setup for a c7 zo6 manual and auto .my friend and I have made some runs and can't seem to break into 11s something definitely not right little help please !
You should have NO problem breaking into the's 11's, assuming the DA isn't 9000ft! Seriously though, you should be able to hit 11's in just about ANY DA.
Do a small burnout to get the crap off the tires and put some heat into them. (if you're going for 'serious' times then a bigger burnout might be necessary).
Hold it at 1500-2000rpm and then quickly feather out the clutch off the line. DO NOT drop the clutch at 2-3k rpm, you'll just spin. Start at 1500-2000rpm and slightly slip the clutch but not enough to break traction...should get you a 1.8-2.0 60ft time...Even with 2.0 to 2.2 60ft times you should EASILY run high 11's.
I don't know anything about your passes so far, because you didn't give much info, but I would bet you are not launching the car properly and are looking at 2.5s+ 60ft times...likely because you're spinning the tires off the line...
Next time you go just try a 'street start.' As if you were at a traffic like and wanted to leave 'quickly.' You'd never 'drop the clutch' you'd feather it out quickly...Make sense?

Do you have recommendations for auto and auto settings?

. We both used launch control mine is a man his auto. I ran 12 flat 128 mph. Hit limiter on both shifts just a tad. Didn't bog. I did not fool with tire pressure so they were at 30psi. I trie two other runs without LC forget it ! I am a little rusty ,been awhile.

I'm no 'drag racing' expert, the best I've managed in my stock M7 is 11.3s in 2900DA, and I've never driven an A8 at the strip, only driven a friends on the street. I'm sure there are lots of threads about how to launch the A8. I think a lot of folks are launching at roughly 2k rpm in the A8's...but I don't know for sure. A decent burnout always helps and of course good track prep and weather
So u guys never use the launch control on the car in race mode ? Cuz i know when i do rpm goes to 4000rpm and dumpt the clucth and its really not that fast off the launch with the stock launch cotrol always get beat off the line
im interested how other people launch on a manual c7 z06? Launch control or not and tc on or off

Without the LC or drag radials I got no idea how they can launch it .they must have TC on

If you're running 128mph...then you should be in the 10's with a good launch. I ran 126mph on my 11.3s pass in 2900DA on stock tires and tire pressures. You're 60ft time must be pretty rough...2.1 to 2.5s??
My very first run in the Z I had a 2.145s 60ft time and still ran an 11.808 at only 123.6mph. 3 runs later got it down to an 11.3 with a 1.89 60ft. There's definitely more in the car so hopefully this winter I can get a 10.99 with a better launch and better DA. (fyi didn't use TC)
Like I said, start at 1500-2000rpm and quickly feather the clutch out so there should be minimal wheel spin...after that it's not too hard. Street style start. Again, with a 128mph trap speed, you're clearly going fast enough to run 10's. You must be spinning the tires off or bogging very badly off the line.

Launch control is going to slow you WAY down.
Do a nice smokey burnout on your stock tires. The stock rubber needs a lot of heat in them to stick so you need to do a good serous smokey burnout b/f your run.
Put your A8 in touring mode with just TC turned off and launch off idle and then play around and try launcing at around 1,500 rpm with small brake torque. Many have found it successful to launch their A8 car down the 1/4 mile in touring mode with just TC off, b/c the suspension is not as stiff and the car squats better in back upon launching which will improve your 60 foot times.
Go when the track has some decent air and is prepped well and you should be real close to getting a high 10 second time slip.

My best stock run was a 10.94 @ 127 with a auto. !6 lbs in the stock tires lunch control in track mode sport 1. Decent burn out, not in the water box. Did you guys go lebanon a while back
Do you sell just the adapters or can I buy everything complete ready to bolt on? I have a 15 Z06 with steel rotors
I don't sell the wheels and tires, but tons of places do. the front wheels only come in one size (weld) and the tires only a couple choices as well usually people choose M&H
the wheel adapters and special lug nuts required are the kit at the price i have.
