Stranded in Memphis in a brand new Z
Bought a brand new Z06 M7 2LZ in Alabama headed home to Texas and the clutch lost pressure before I got to Memphis. Didn't even get through a half tank of gas. Has anyone else had an issue like this?

yeah it was towed to Chuck Hutton last night, got there around 7. Hoping to hear some good news this morning. Missing Fair day with the kids today so not happy sitting in a hotel just waiting. But stuff happens and hopefully they get me back on the road this morning.

Was here any fluid in the clutch reservoir?

You think they can handle my first oil change? I'll be driving to Texas from the NCM later this month. I will need to schedule my first oil change. Memphis seems like the logical location for my first oil change since it's not that far from Bowling Green. I can put 220 miles on the Z06 easily the first day I get it (heh) and then put the remaining miles on it driving to Memphis to get me to 500 miles....

It's unfortunate that you had to deal with this and hope you get a resolution soon. I have a 2015 M7 and have had no issues with the clutch. As for the statement that their are way to many breaking down that is just crazy talk. I have had many different vehicles and have had mechanical issues it can happen at any point with a vehicle.

Ended up being the Master Cylinder and another day. I'm flying back home and told the selling dealership to ship me the car. I gotta get back to work and family. Told them not to rush anything to, don't want anymore problems. And there was fluid.

I am sure they will take care of you. I can give you the SM # if you PM me. They do sell a bunch of vettes each year. There is a hotel just down the road from them that I spent the night w/ fenced parking area. Ken

Hope they get it shipped back tomorrow and you can enjoy it trouble free from now on.
Chuck Hutton used to be the number one Vette seller in Memphis and has been around for years. I think they're the only Chevy Courtesy delivery dealer in the area.
If you stayed in a hotel down the street from the dealership, be glad the parking area was fenced in.

Very sorry to hear about your frustrations...not cool
At the end of the day, these are still just Chevy's.
Anyone remember they went Chapter 11 back in 2009, and in 2015 they were still going back to Bankruptcy court for shielding from lawsuits, etc. involving faulty components?
I chose to roll the dice on my Z06 (and yes about as American and patriotic as it gets) but the quality, service and dealer experience aren't even CLOSE to my former machine...Mercedes AMG.
Get with it GM. We love Detroit, the heritage and America. Make us proud again!

Unfortunately, I think you're correct. I guess maybe I expected too much from my $90,000+ car. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I'm a little disappointed in the overall quality for that kind of money. Knock on wood, nothing wrong mechanically so far. I also owned a Mercedes and never worried about taking it in for maintenance. To be honest, I don't know that I'd trust a dealer to work on my Z06 because I know to them it's still just another "car". Maybe I'm too picky and perhaps my expectations are too high, but I do worry about having to take it in if something happens.
