I finally got to install my Halltech intake last night.. pretty easy installation overall. I did have to play a little with it to get the hood to close and still have to adjust it a bit more to get the passenger front side of the hood to align perfectly (it’s almost perfect now though, nothing too crazy or bad lol)
I personally didn’t think this intake could make much of a difference considering I had already replaced the stock filter with a K&N filter... but... I was very wrong. I’m not sure if 30-50hp were actually gained as advertised, but I can tell you the car pulls way harder now and I feel a better throttle response. No traction on 1st or 2nd gear either (before I would dead hook from a 2nd gear roll)
Sweet Yes I had to play with mine a little to get it all the way down in position. Fits perfect once in there all the way.
Did you get the Nomex sock too? The Nomex is felt as well it keeps the intake charge cooler more towards ambient temps. . 'Which helps keeps the timing full.
I run a double Nomex and swear the car feels better with it on.

Reason: No need to re-quote the OP, especially if you're the next person posting.
Do you mean that the wheels were spinning if you punched it in either 1st or 2nd gears?
What I don't get is how they advertise this car is under 3 seconds 0-60 when we can't launch it properly due to wheel spin? It may just be me and not knowing how to take off the right way, lol
Can you tell me what you had to do to get the hood to close? I can't close Even after adjusting it.
how did you route the coolant line? needs to go under the box/tube or under the airflow tunnel thing. also check your headlight harness interfering with the hood hinge.

I had the same problem and no matter how I moved and/or twisted the lines/hoses the hood was being slightly held up near the air box.
Most likely your rubber boot (that seals the center air duct to the hood grill/opening) is laying slightly on the top inner edge of the Halltec air box.
After several times of laying the hood down slowly while shining a flash light to determine what was holding the hood up, I seen that I had to fold that boot/seal edge down off the air box. But you must fold the seal down quickly and lower the hood before that rubber seal pops back up over the air box. Once you drive the car a few times the heat from the motor allows that seal to stay down but I still always check and make sure its down each time I close the hood.
If you play around with it and don't understand what I'm explaining, let me know, and I will take a photo tomorrow of that area and seal/boot folded down off the air box.

I’m extremely happy I decided to get one
Sweet I pretty sure the advertised increase comes with EVERY install!
