I think they actually look pretty good in person. We went up to our dealer yesterday to finalize the deal on our Z06 and my wife sat in a GS. I thought the standard rocker panels looked really good, actually better than without.

The new shorter skirts are included with the base GS or Z06 at no additional charge. Essentially they decided to include them to address the complaints from customers regarding the rear ducts and quarter panels getting torn up by rocks. The front "poverty" splitter is also included. Yes, the CFZ and CFV skirts/splitters look much better, but they also cost $3k/$4k respectively. That's why I went with the CFZ. I think GM needed to address the problem, but didn't want to walk away from the extra profit from the aero kits.
And most importantly, beautiful brand new Z, OP! I'm jealous! My R8C isn't until 11/4! I will just live vicariously through you.

Mine is scheduled to come off the line on 10/19 and my pickup at NCM is 11/4. Even if it comes off earlier I don't think I can move my travel plans up, unfortunately

Ours has been built for 3 days and we haven't heard nothing about scheduling our delivery!

I bet a lot of people would like for you to remove the supercharger's lid a take a photo of the 'tilted' intercooler bricks.

Bean counters were in control here.
Yep options are the money making leader.
Then they figured who would go with a half skirt? Then they would make more money by offering a real skirt as a option.
No skirt at all is a poor option as the rocker panel paint gets beat and they "invented" this half skirt as a solution?
You got to be kidding me GM?
ACS skirts are a good option. I think mine were 600.00 and I had them before the car was delivered.

You'll have to do it through the dealer directly. Or you can build a 2017 Z06 on the GM supplier website. There are a few new options to mull over...
